The Youngest Shelby Sister

Chapter 1

Alice's Pov:

My name's Alice and I'm the youngest Shelby, Arthur is the oldest but Tommy is the boss. I was never really allowed to know anything about my brother's jobs but I know for a fact that my brother Tommy is the boss.

I was 6 when my brothers left for the war and for 4 years they've been at war and for 2 years I lived with my uncle, he isn't very nice. He blamed my mothers death on me because she got an infection after I was born. He would beat me if I said something wrong and I have lost any sense of confidence since I came back home. Aunt Pol knew me and Finn should be with our legal guardian our father but he is a horrible man who doesn't care about anyone but himself so she sent us to our uncle's instead she needed a break. I don't blame her.

My mother named me Alice because it stands for noble and Tommy has always called me his 'noble little princess'. As soon as he came back from the war he saw the change in me, but he couldn't figure out why I was spending so much time in my room listening to records. My father sent me one it was bribery for me to go and see him but Pol made sure I didn't go.

*In the Present*

"Alice! Come down here for a second!" Finn shouted from downstairs I stopped my record and went downstairs. "What are you doing?! Tommy will kill you!" I shout whispered to him, he just shrugged he was holding a cigarette he's only 12. "And he won't do anything it'll be fine he's not home anyway." He stated I shook my head at him he hates it when I do that he thinks I'm acting like an adult. "Who's not home anyway?" Tommy questioned as he walked into the main room. "OI! What is that Finn?! Who said you could have one?" He asked sternly Finn just rolled his eyes "Hey I'm 12 nearly 13 come on let me smoke." Finn begged he sounded ridiculous. Tommy glanced at Finn and rolled his eyes back "How's my noble little princess?" He asked me. I couldn't bare that name anymore for some reason it confused me why. "Fine!" I shouted at him as he was about to hug me I ran upstairs. Why did I have to flinch like that? I hope he doesn't hate me now. 

2 hours passed I was listening to my records as I was sat in the corner reading my favourite book when I hear it stop. I can't concentrate without my records playing. I looked up and saw John sat on my bed, he always lets me call him Johnny, but he never comes into my room what was he doing here? I stood up and smiled at him"Johnny? What are you doing here?" I questioned him, he looked at me and smiled "I came to check on you. You're always in this room listening to these records." he said, I gave him another smile and went back to my corner. Since coming back from my uncle's house I have one corner in my room that comforts me but unfortunately not thunder storms. "Tommy told me what happened earlier, are you OK? did something happen when we were gone? you can tell me you..." He questioned but what I reacted with had him shocked "FOR GOD SAKE JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!" I screamed at him from my corner his weak smile changed to a concerned one. I immediately looked down and buried my face in my knees. 

John's Pov:

I didn't expect her to outburst like that she's only 10 years old I looked at her as she started shaking with her head buried in her knees. I went downstairs confused and saw Tommy "Something's happened I don't know what but something has happened." Tommy looked at me confused and nodded as to say go on. "I was asking if anything happened like you asked me to and she screamed at me to leave her alone. Then she went into a corner buried herself in her knees and started shaking." He looked at me confused "What do you mean she started shaking? Oi" he asked me "Now that I think about it she could just be tired." He rolled his eyes and walked away "I'm going to the pub." He stated before he walked out of the house. I hope she's OK.

Alice's Pov:

I can't believe I shouted at John I thought it was coming another blow to my body but all I heard was the door click shut. I looked up and rushed towards my records and put my favourite one on I calmed down straight away. I hope he doesn't hate me.
