Daniel's POV:

I was in Jim’s and the girl’s talking to Lou while also brushing her hair, who I kinda saw as a little sister now. Which is kinda nice since I only have brothers.

“I wish you were my real brother” she
said looking up at me with those big eyes. “So do I, well in this case sister, do you know howsmelly the house is with my brothers?” I asked her making her laugh.

Hillary then walked in the room wearing a long baggy shorts and long baggy t-shirt, “Hey Daniel, I know we haven’t really gotten to know each other but do you wanna play basketball with me and my dad, you don’t have to if—” Before she could finish, I cut her off,

“Yeah, I would like that, I’ll see you later yeah Lou?” Lou nodded her head with a smile before running off probably to find Espn, I went back to my room to get changed into something more comfortable to play in.

Once I finished, I began to walk over to the basketball court where I found Jim, Hillary, and two other guys playing, probably a father and son

Once I finished, I began to walk over to the basketball court where I found Jim, Hillary, and two other guys playing, probably a father and son.

They were bouncing the ball with Jim passing it to Hillary who was shoulder barging the boy, completely out strengthening him, making me smirk as I watched from the side lines watching as Hillary scored a point for her and Jim as she made it into the hoop.

As Jim praised his daughter, I clapped for them, mostly for Hillary, though I suppose I scared them as they jumped and looked at me. “Jesus, you got a bell on you or something? ‘Cuz I think
we might need one for ya” “Haha very funny” I said sarcastically before turning my attention to Hillary with a proud smile.

“Hey Hillary, you did really great out there.” “Oh, thanks, so are you ready or--?” “Yeah, I’m ready.” I said putting down my water bottle on the bench, where Jim sat down as well. “Alright I’ll sit this one out while you play fair.”

We both nodded and started to resume the game. I got the ball and was bouncing it while blocking the ball from the teen boy while Hillary was blocking the older man from getting over there to help his son, and Jim yelling out words of encouragement to his daughter.

I quickly passed the ball to Hillary who got closer to the hoop, though she started walking weird and standing straight up while doing a sloppy dribble and looking at a certain direction.

Me being concerned and confused on why she was acting weird when she looked at a certain direction, I looked behind me and noticed a group of teens, girls and boys while wearing tennis clothing.

I sighed as they looked like snobby rich kids and was snickering while pointing at Hillary.

“Larry!? What are you doing?” The rich snobby girls laughed out loud when they heard Jim call Hillary ‘Larry’. Hillary groaned and stopped playing before running over to a different bench while letting out some sniffles that sounded like crying.

“Hey is your brother, okay?” The older
man asked me, “She’s a girl” I replied back as he nodded and looked at his son, “You suck” they then left the court while the snobby rich teen group left and began to play tennis.

I began to make my way over to Hillary though I signaled to Jim to let me handle it as I saw begin to walk over, he hesitated before nodding his head and began to walk back to the bench
he was sitting on before.

Once I got to Hillary, I crouched down Infront of her and held her arms
in a comforting manner which made her look at me with tears in her eyes.
“What’s wrong?” I asked even though I knew but I wanted her answer instead.

“It’s just, I feel like I’m not feminine enough to fit it with the other girls.” She said sniffling before I brought her
into my arms and putting her head on my chest and under my chin.

“Don’t compare yourself to anyone Hill, you are the best basketball player I have ever seen, you just gotta believe it and then you’ll see it. You know I used to think like you….” She looked up at me confused so I kept telling her.

“Have you ever seen a guy from your school do Ballet?” I asked with a smile as she looked up at me with shocked eyes.

“Yeah, I did ballet, and the football team made fun of me, I went home one day crying to mom saying that I wanted to drop out of the program, though mom told me to show people that they’re wrong, that I can choose who I want to be and not let people ruin that. So, if you want to become a basketball player you show them who’s boss and don’t let no one stop you. Got it?” I said making her smile more determined now.

“Thank you, Daniel, you know when I first saw you I thought you would be one of those douche bags from high schools, but you’re not, you’re like an older brother and that’s nice because I normally have to be the big sister the whole time, thank you for caring” She said making me hug her again and smile.

“Of course, I gotta keep my siblings happy” I said

Time Skip:

Me and Hillary were at the beach, and I was wearing just went with my basketball shorts since I didn’t feel like changing. I looked around at all the people here, and I mostly saw teenagers.

I looked over and saw Hillary around though she was looking at the scenery more, while I kept looking around for Jake, which I spotted as I saw him reading a book and laying on a deck
chair, I smiled to myself before I turned to Hillary, and we started talking to each other.

Jake’s POV:

I was reading my book before I heard loud laughing from the mini bar, I looked over and saw Daniel and Hillary.

Daniel was in some black and red basketball shorts without a shirt on, I sawmany girls looking at him with flirty eyes and yelling at him to look in their direction which he ignored making them whine while Hillary laughed.

I’m glad he ignored them, I actually like him, I mean he’s handsome, has a great personality, he’s confident, and not afraid of anything, and I didn’t think I would ever find a guy to love on this trip, but here I am.

I fell in love with Daniel Reynolds.
