Harriet noticed the sound of running water as she dared to crack her eyes open and blink at what she could see from her position in Tom's arms.

Snake heads......

Stone......

A towering ceiling........

That giant, unsettling statue.....

It was a strange place, but the air seemed refreshingly cool against Harriet's heated cheek.

She couldn't help but peer blearily at the stone statue that spread across the wall in front of her while she asked, "Where......are we?"

Tom's lips curled in a wicked smirk as he gazed down at Harriet triumphantly and spoke, "Welcome, Harriet Potter, to the Chamber of Secrets.......As the direct descendant of Salazar Slytherin himself," Tom explained as he gestured to the statue, "I am the sole master of this place."

"Is this where the Basilisk lives?" Harriet blinked.

Tom frowned as she seemed relatively unimpressed by his announcement.

".......Yes." He hesitantly replied, "How did you know about the Basilisk?"

"That's how your mother and I made it to Riddle Manor that night." Harriet explained as she writhed in Tom's arms.

"My mother was here?" Tom asked with an incredulous scowl.

"Not in this place, no, but yes, she came to the castle." Harriet groaned as she wriggled and huffed, "Are you going to mate with me or not, Tom? I don't have all day to chat with you about ancestors and mothers."

"Patience, sweetling." Tom chuckled as he made it to the end of the Chamber of Secrets' main walkway and carried Harriet towards the bedchamber that had been constructed specifically for their mutual enjoyment.

Another low cramp took hold in Harriet's lower belly that caused her to groan and press her face against Tom's chest as she endured its intensity.

His dark eyes glimmered mischievously as he glanced down at her and grinned, "Have you so little faith in me as to think that I would dare commit such a grievous error as to let this long-awaited opportunity slip through our fingers?"

Harriet blinked when she felt Tom take one arm off of her and reach out.

She watched the heavy, stone door in front of them creak open to reveal the cozy bedroom that lay inside.

Tom watched carefully as Harriet sat up in his arms while her emerald eyes widened.

"Here we are, sweetling." He purred in his smooth voice as he carried her over the threshold.

With a snap of his fingers, the stone door slammed shut behind them, but in her enfeebled condition, Harriet barely noticed the noise.

Tom had spent the last few years transforming the bedchamber bit by bit, detail by detail, into a space that would be any needy omega's dream.

From the soft bed piled with sumptuous sheets and chenille blankets, to the mound of pillows that sat at its top, all the way to the warm lamps of glowing amber on the two nightstands at either side of the bed, the room begged Harriet to leap from Tom's arms, construct her nest, and invite him to join her there.

Harriet fidgeted against him with the urge to crawl into that waiting, welcoming respite.

"Don't worry, sweetling." Tom chuckled as he walked over, deftly bent down, and carefully placed Harriet down on top of the covers, "I'll let you nest before I claim you."
