"Hello Wraith. May I come in?" Gemini asks waiting patiently for me to answer.
"What do you want?" I growl stepping aside knowing the danger that I'm letting into my room.
"Just wanted to say hi, and see how you are..." Gemini replies. "Gaege," they say belatedly making my blood turn to ice. Slamming the door I grab them by the left arm and throw them against the wall.
"Don't you dare fucking call me that! After what you did! After what you did to our- my family!" I yell at them face burning with rage, breaths coming in ragged jets with my chest heaving.
"Aww is Gaege, the 'man' of our family mad? You shouldn't be. What I did, I did as a favor to all of us. You should be thankful, you ungrateful wretch," Gemini replies coldly sending chills up my spine.
"What you did?! What you did was a crime against humanity! You fuckin crazy bitch!" I yell in their face.
"Aw c'mon Gaege it isn't fun if it's not illegal, you should know that" Gemini calmly says breaking free of my grip patting my cheek.
"Enough with the games, Sabrina! What the fuck do you want?!" I shout rearing my fist back. She stays silent and doesn't flinch when I hit the wall beside her head denting the metal wall. "You have no right to be called my sister you cold hearted bitch. Now get out of my room and off of this base." I growl in a dangerously low voice. With that she walked around me and opened the door then left quietly, leaving the door ajar slightly.
Sighing I turn around and lean against the wall and hang my head with eyes closed, thoughts unbidden running through my head.
I'm sitting on a loveseat watching cartoons when I hear mom scream. Being curious I slide off the seat and wonder upstairs to see two of my older sisters standing over moms unmoving body.
"Mom, what's wrong?" I ask to the body drenched in red. "Why's mom covered in paint, Laura?"
"Mom was repainting the bathroom, and she spilt it on her and she came in here to change and she fell," Laura says.
"Go back downstairs sweetie. We'll take care of you," Sabrina says and I obey.
Present day
Remembering moms bloodied and battered corpse makes me shudder sending a cold chill down my spine. A throat clearing captures my attention and not even opening my eyes or lifting my head, I draw one of my throwing knives throw it in their direction purposely missing.
"This is clearly a bad time so I'll go..." an unfamiliar voice says. Looking up I see one of the Canadians standing in the doorway with my throwing knife in her hand.
"Tina? Right? Sorry about that I'm just a bit on edge right now. Please come in," I sorrowfully say moving aside to let her pass.
"Yes, it is Tina or Frost. I need to talk to you about something," she says gazing at me with curiosity.
"What is it that we need to talk about?" I ask, eyebrow cranking up like a drawbridge.
"How well do you know Lucy?" Tina asks me making my breath catch in my throat.
"Why?" I answer with a question of my own, narrowing my eyes.
Tina takes a deep breath and begins to talk, "I found some things out about her because I found her suspicious. I found out that she used for-"
"Yes I know this. She used to work for the mob, I know Tina tell me something that I don't know," I interrupt.
"She's a traitor. She'll backstab you the first change she gets," she says with an emotionless face.
Feeling a cold rage and adrenaline feel my veins I say in a voice barely above a whisper, "leave,"
"No... I-" Tina starts then starts backing away slowly as I start walking forward eyes on hers.
"I said leave. Right now, before I do something I'll regret," I say louder making sure I put some authority behind it. She lets out a small squeak of surprise when she hits the wall with the dent.
"If you do this you'll regret it," she says in a huff of breath lust filling her eyes.
"I'll regret it anyways. Now leave!" I raise my voice.
"I- B- ok. When she backstabs you don't come runnin' to me cryin because I told you so," Tina says turning towards the door and leaves slamming the door behind her.
I hang my head thinking over what just happened with Tina. 'What the fuck was that about?'
The door opens and Lucy walks in saying, "Damn today was fuckin' extreme even for me. Plus I just saw one of the Canadians turn the corner looking all flustered and everything any idea what's that about?"
"Nope no idea," I say nonchalantly and ask, "why was today extreme?" Hearing my phone ding I pull it out to find a text from Sam.
Sam: I have some really disturbing news about 'Lucy Renee Smith' you and I need to speak ASAP. Are you alone right now?
Me: Wtf?! No I'm not alone and what 'disturbing' news do you have about my fiancé?
Sam: She's there with you isn't she? Tell her that you have to meet up with someone and come talk to me at the south-west corner of the base
Me: why? I'm not going to lie to my future wife
Sam: Because she is a spy trained in seduction tactics, master interrogator, expert assassin, among other things
I feel my face go cold and the blood freeze in my veins at the thought of Lucy lying to me for seven and half years about what she does.
"What's wrong baby? You look like you just seen a ghost," Lucy chuckles oblivious to the thoughts and questions racing through my head.
Sam: Her real name is Natalia Avery Zakharova. Her family moved here when she was seven years old
"Zakharova?" I mutter under my breath then hear Lucy take a small step back.
"D-did you say something babe?" She asks nervousness in her voice.
"Um... n-no I didn't, why?" I answer still looking at my phone.
Me: Where's your proof that's she's a spy?
