Meeting A New Friend

I woke up to my brother Simba making a commotion telling our dad to go and show him our home. While mom and I headed to go hangout with the other ladies. You see during the night I'm a daddy's girl and Simba is mom's boy. I heard them walk which made me wake up and I got up and walked over to mama. We headed to where our usual hangout is for the day and Simba's friend Nala was there. I am a loner and I am very shy when it comes to other lioness. Mama was cleaning me and Sarafina was cleaning Nala when Simba came over and went to Nala and whispered something. Nala asked if she could go and she agreed then mama said, "Bring Zorya and Zazu with you." Nala glared at me and Simba rolled his eyes and said, "Do we have too?" Mama gave Simba a warning look and he groaned and said, "Common Zorya."

I looked at mama she pushed me by the nose and we headed to the watering hole and I was behind them. I guess Zazu saw that and flew down onto my back and said, "Why aren't you with Nala and Simba?" I looked at him and said, "I just never got along with them. Since I am quiet I tend to just be by myself." Zazu nodded then saw Simba and Nala chatting and excused himself and went up to them. They stopped after hearing something that made them disgusted and so Zazu came over and said, "Zorya. Wouldn't you see Nala as Simba's mate and queen?" I looked at them and shrugged sitting down then Simba walked up to Zazu and starting to sing.

I'm gonna be a mighty king, so enemies beware
Well I've never seen a king of beasts with quite so little hair

Me and Zazu lost them and we headed back to mama and papa to tell them. As we headed that way we heard the grass moving but we couldn't see what it was. Then out of the blue something attacked me and I looked up and saw a cub my age. He looked down at me playfully then Zazu said, "Young cub please get off the princess please." The cub did and looked at me and smiled and said, "Hello princess my name Enzo. What is your name?" I looked at him then at Zazu and he nodded and I said, "My name is Zorya." Enzo smiled and I smiled and said, "You wanna come with me and see if my father will allow you to join?" He nodded and we walked back to papa when Zazu said, "Simba and Nala went to the elephant grave yard." Mufasa nodded and looked at me then Enzo and said, "I will talk to you later." I nodded and Enzo and I headed to mama and we fell asleep.
