Shawns POV:

It's been 5 hours and the doctor has been running so many tests on her it scares me. I am currently sitting next to Sabrina's mom trying calm her down, she's trying be strong by I'm just hugging her cause she's crying.

"Sabrina Castillo?" The doctor asked. we got up and waited for him to continue.

"Well we have some good news and some bad news" he says pausing, "the good news is she is now awake, the bad news is.. I'm sorry to say we found some cancer cells in her blood, and they have spread and it's not going to be easy treating them..."

Once those words came out of his mouth, it's like the world came tumbling down on top of me. "I'm sorry" he said and left us alone.

"This can't be happening, not to her! She's a good person! Why?!"I screamed earning some stares. I was full on sobbing and so was Sabrina's mom she was hugging me. I could feel her tears soaking my shirt, but at this point that was the last thing on my mind.

"Shawn you should go home" Sabrina's mom said to me.

"I-I can't , I can't go now, I can't leave and I won't leave you here alone" I said still crying.

We sat on the chairs waiting, Sabrina's mom was asleep on my shoulder. my mind was full of so many questions.

Why her?
Why not me?
Can't I take her place?
She doesn't deserve this!

"Members of Sabrina can now visit" the nurse announced.

"I-I don't think I can" I said nervous.

"Shawn I'm 100% sure she would want you to be the first to see, you go ahead, you can do it,be strong for her" she said with hope in her eyes.

I nodded and left to her room. as soon as I walked in I felt like breaking down, seeing her so pale and weak.

I walked in and I her head turn she had bags under her eyes and she looked very yellow, yet she managed to look so beautiful..

"Hey" she said with a slight smile, you could barely call that a smile.

"H-Hey how are you feeling " I said with a side smile.

"I'm feeling great.." she said faking a smile, trying to hide the lie I know was impossible to conceal..

"Sabrina, I don't know what you are feeling right now but you don't have to pretend to be strong, let it out. don't let it stay in you, it can end up worse.." I said with a smile full of sympathy.

"The only thing I have running through my mind is... why me?" She said looking down.

"God knows your strong enough to fight this " I said trying to hold in my tears.

"Shawn they don't know how much time I have left... the cancer spread. its still not a lot but we all know how this story is going to end." she said a tear slipping, still not wanting to full on break down.

"No don't say that, Sabrina i know you can fight this, please it breaks me even more.." I said trying to hide away the tears pouring out of my eyes.

"Just know Shawn, even if I were to have married someone else you would have always been my number one" she said with a smile trying to cheer me up.

"And you will always be my number one, princess, and bestfriend. I-I love you, " I said scared of her reaction.

"I love you more." she said with a big smile.

"I'm gonna let your mom come in now. relax."

"Alright" she said.
