Vanni had given her new orders. For today at least, she was tailing Zoie. He had been strict about what would happen to her if she disobeyed him again but it wasn't fair. She was looking for the Ramos family just as much as Vanni was.
They just had different wants from them. Whatever the case, Cece would get what she wanted. She had tracked Zoie's phone location. A task that had actually turned out harder than she thought it would be.
At first she was with her older brother Harry at some jewellery store and then Harry got in a car and left, leaving poor, weak Zoie all alone.Fool.
She was waiting at a bus stop, across the road from some clothing store. Zoie was inside, it had kids clothes inside. Maybe she could risk it all, go accidently bump into Zoie. It's not like she would have any idea who Cece was?!
Though maybe that was pushing it just a little.
Sooner or later she was going to be asking to get caught.A bus came, blocking Cece's view from her target.
'Hurry up!' She swore at the vehicle. Finally it moved on, and Zoie came out. This was it, this was her time. She crossed the road, almost getting hit by some taxi who was clueless as fuck.
Zoie grabbed out her phone and started calling someone, she was too far away to hear though. She was at least ten meters behind.
They kept walking for blocks. For a pregnant chic she sure could walk a mile. At this point even Cece was getting tired.Suddenly Zoie stopped.
Cece quickly turned to a flower shop by the path. Pretending to pick out a bunch. She glanced at Zoie who was looking back, as if she was looking for something.
But before long she was off again.
She waited a moment before following.
They turned right down yet another block. There were less people on this street.
Less places to hide if Zoie turned back again.
She slowed down a little more, not wanting to get too close.
Zoie had a weird feeling. As if something wasn't quiet right, like she had eyes on her. A pain coursed through her stomach. Probably this damn child. She couldn't wait for her doctors appointment next week. Julian and her would finally find out if they were having a girl or a boy.
She kinda wanted a girl, someone to bond with and pair up against Jul.But either way she didn't care.
She could still feel that weird.....thing. She had looked back earlier but there was nothing unusual.
She pretended to drop a bag, bending down to pick it up. She looked back once again, something didn't seem right about this. She tried to take in as much information as possible.
A man with a dog, some guys hanging around a car smoking. A girl with long brown hair and a black leather jacket. A lady holding groceries.
She turned back and started walking again.
Wait? The girl with the long brown hair and jacket? Hadn't she been looking at some flowers a block back?
Maybe she hadn't been. Zoie was starting to have a foggy brain, apparently another side effect of being pregnant. Still she felt odd.She turned the block and started walking again, her feet were killing her. God, she just wished her mum was still around, to help her through this. It had been a long time since her mother's funeral. It seemed like a decade ago.
She wished she had just drove to the store.
She wished Hannah and Taylor were around too. All things unchangeable.Zoie was almost at Julian's new place anyway. Ever since the meetup where Ezekiel and Taylor were killed things had definitely changed.
Ezra sold the house and brought a smaller more modern place closer to the city. Kadin still lived in his apartment and Julian had brought a three bedroom apartment in the middle of the city.
