The Lost Zerlin

The Minds Quest

[After finding the sword on its own and being called the chosen one. Elazen glances down at his new sword. A shiny, intricate, balanced sword. Almost too good to be true.]

Elazen: This sword. it's really nice.. this had to be Cal who planned this prank.

[Elazen returns back home. Only for his home to be found empty.]

Elazen: Cal? Cal, are you here?

[There was no response. Elazen closed the door and headed to the gym for it too, to be found empty.]

Elazen: guys?

[He walks in and sits down alone. He pulls out his phone and calls but Cal isn't responding. He left a voice message.]

Elazen: "Hey Cal, thanks for the surprise at my 'secret hideout.' I like the new sword and nice try on the prank. I played along anyway to make it seem good on camera. You can post it on your YouTube channel or whatever. Anyways call me when you get the chance."

[Elazen looks around and closes his eyes. The silence in the gym is calming and it's also a great place to meditate, But Elazen's mind seems to drift away. Almost as if he is being pulled into meditating forcfully.. When he opens his eyes he is alone in the forest again. He stands up and sees the vine in front of him once again.]

Elazen: Well.. Hell..

Voice: I have a quest for you now!

Elazen: erm. Wait, what's going on? What happened?

[He looks around frantically]

Voice: meditating brought you back here with me. Which was really quick, actually.

Elazen: Who are you? What do you want?

Voice: I want to help you.

Elazen: I'm too deep into this mess, aren't I?

Voice: Yes. Yes, you are.

Elazen: Usually... I would be scared out of my mind right now, but I feel at ease, so, go on before I lose my shit.

Voice: Well, actually. You've reached the highest form of meditation you've ever experienced in your life thus far. Which takes a lot longer in humans then expected.

Elazen: did you just refer to me as a human?

Voice: You are a human.

Elazen: yeah I am.... am I?

[There seems to be a bit of doubt in Elazens eyes as he is trying to overthink the situation]

Voice: yes, you are.

Elazen: Okay you scared me there for a second, hah. What about you? Are you like a plant or-

Voice: elazen we are not exchanging phone numbers-

Elazen: Well how am I supposed to talk to a fucking magic bean stalk?

[The wind picks up and pushes elazen as it catches him by surprised. He catches his step and follows the wind. A group of leaves follows' the winds direction and group together to form a spiral. The spiral magically summons a human into existence out of thin air in the center of the grass field they are standing on just 10 feet away from Elazen.]

Elazen: AH! WHAT? HOW DID YOU DO THAT?!

Voice: relax. If you aren't in control of your emotions you will leave this place.

Elazen: So I can leave if I'm unstable?

Voice: You can leave as soon as you show me your skill.

[There's a slight pause before elazens face lights up as if he has gotten the best idea yet.]
