Charlotte's POV
How the hell did I end up in this situation?
I'm sitting outside the fucking principles office with Cameron, waiting for our parents to come in.
I've never been called to the principles office before. And I'm nervous as fuck.
I bounce my foot up and down while fidgeting with my hands, looking down the corridor waiting for my mam to come.
I turn my attention back to Cameron when he takes my right hand in this, and gives it a small squeeze while shooting me a smile that doesn't meet his eyes.
Cameron seems nervous too. Hell, he seems more nervous than me. He's quiet, really quiet. I would have never expected him to be this nervous, since he's been to the principles office before.
"You okay?" I ask him, and he nods his head before turning to look down at the floor. I squeeze his hand like he did to mine, but regret it after and begin worrying if I hurt him.
His knuckles are pretty red, and they look like they hurt. So I imagine squeezing them didn't help.
"Charlotte," Someone says, and I turn to see Mam and Jay walking towards us. I forgot mam is unable to drive. When she was younger, she crashed her car and was heavily injured.
She's been too scared to drive since. Just the thought of driving causes her to nearly have a panic attack. So whenever she needs to go somewhere, we usually drive her.
I let go of Cameron's hand and stand up, hugging my mam tight.
"Honey, what happened? Are you hurt? They wouldn't tell me over the phone" Mam mumbles, pulling me away so I can see her worried expression.
"I guy threw water on my shirt, with the intention of seeing my..um..my bra since my shirt was white. Cameron beat him up" I explain to them.
We were walking down the hallway toward the cafeteria to get some food, as it was lunch. Then a guy who I've never seen before came up to us and threw a cup of water on my chest. I was wearing a cropped, white short-sleeve shirt, which immediately turned see-through.
Cameron stepped in front of me, and I hid behind him as I started to panic because a lot of people were in the hallway, and a lot were staring.
Cameron took off his hoodie and threw it over me within seconds, and I began to calm down since my red bra was no longer on display to everyone.
The guy who did it was laughing with a group of his friends, and my face paled when I saw their phone pointed at me.
Before I could even think about what to do, Cameron walked over and grabbed the phone, and smashed it on the ground, before he began punching the shit out of this dude.
A minute or two later, he walked over to me, put a hand on my lower back and we walked to the cafeteria to get our food.
We were called to the principal's office during the last class, and an hour later, we were still here waiting.
Which is annoying because I know for a fact that this man isn't busy.
"This is why you should be home-schooled" Jay sigh, although the small smile on his face tells me he was joking.
"Thank you Cameron" Mam turns to him, surprising me a bit. He looks up from the floor, and shoots us a small smile before turning back to the floor. I let out a sigh, turning to face my mam and Jay again. Jay throws an arm around my shoulder and pulls me into a hug just as the office door opens.
"Come in" The principal, Mr Jordan tells us. Cameron stands up, walking in with his eyes on the floor. I stare confused because this isn't like him at all.
