Chapter 1

*flashback*
Amanda's POV

I stood on the stage anxiously waiting for the judges to call out the winner for female soloists, my heart racing fast, if I didn't win this, my whole team would go home.

"MICHELLE BALDESARRA!" I heard the announcers scream. My heart sank to the ground. I was thrilled but devastated at the same time, thrilled for Michelle, she deserved it a lot more than me, but devastated for my, studio. Not my team, my studio. They've never acted like a team to me, just a studio.

*end of flashback*
Hunters POV

I stood in the halls putting up some advertisements for the robotics team, as I saw Amanda Hutchsons walk bye with some of her friends, they saw the sign I was putting up and starting giggling "Aww, how sweet, little Hunter Atkinson wants someone to join his club." One of Amanda's friends, Riley Blanksure spoke with a pouty face as her boyfriend James hugged her from behind. I just ignored her, as usual, I ignore everyone.

I noticed that Amanda herself was being quiet, usually she would have no trouble coming up with some stupid come back.

I resumed stapling up my flyers as the girls just stared at me, I couldn't give a shit but it was odd. "What the fuck do you want?" I questioned them, getting a little agitated. "We want your money, dipshit." I heard Riley state "Well to fucking bad, I don't have any." I stated strongly, without realising what a stupid thing I had just said, "Whatever." She said as she flicked my hat off of my head and strutted away with the others.

Amanda's POV

I really couldn't be bothered to say anything to Hunter, I had gotten no sleep last night studying, yet I still got F's. Everyday my dad gets on to me about how my mom would be upset with me. Well my moms dead. She's gone, not alive, dead.
