Chapter 44: Blue lily

Imma be honest, I feel like I'm making this story longer than it should be but at the same time , there's just so much that I've thought about and I find myself not able to skip some parts because they're important to the plot.

A few days ago

He reached out with his now small hand to the top shelf and he clicked his tongue as he realized he couldn't reach it with his body. Standing on top of a chair, he was finally able to get the book which he placed on top of the table right next to the page titled De hyacintho aranea lilly.

He kept looking back and forth, translating every word.

Hoc- This..floc- flower..adversa- reverses..potestates..the powers..de sol vocator...of the sun summoner. Lux..Light..erit tenebris..becomes darkness.. et convertens solem vocatorem in daemonem fieri potest....and turning the sun summoner into a demon becomes possible.

Muzan's eyes widened in disbelief, feeling conflicted but at the same time victorious. He was originally looking for the blue spider lily for himself but now that he knows that it's her only weakness, that it will make her into a demon under his command, that he will have control over the powers of the sun summoner, nothing will stop him from finding the lily.

" Are you okay,dear?" Ayumi walked into the room as she heard a sound coming from inside. She swiftly opened the door and to her surprise, no one was there...

Meanwhile, Muzan had already made his way out of the family's house with his original form and he internally cursed at the fact that it took him longer than he predicted. He wanted to go to the house but it was almost sunrise, meaning that he had to find somewhere else to stay in for the day. While that was pretty easy for him to figure out, he was just eager to see her again in a pitiful, deplorable state.He wants to go back and torture her, lay with her mind, to see her kneeling down out of weakness, to witness her admitting defeat.

His desires, however, have to wait for now, until the next night..

Hours passed and people around were walking back to their homes after finishing up with their work for the day. The evening sun cast long shadows on the ground and that's when Muzan, unlike all the ones surrounding him, decided to get rid of his disguise and leave the house he had hidden stayed at after tricking its members once again.

The demon lord walked in between the dark hallways in the village and came across a couple of drunk teenagers who started mocking his appearance. Of course, he got offended and killed all of them in a blink of an eye, then continued on his way as if nothing had happened.

He made it back to the abandoned house he had chosen for y/n to stay in , instead of the infinity castle, just to keep her away from other demons who cannot control their blood lust.

Just as he walked into the main room, he was met with the three uppermoons and two other demons that were meant to guard the house the entire time.

" Why are you all here?" Muzan glared at them, the two demons were shivering while the others just bowed without making any reaction.

" Muzan-sama ! Well, we might or might have not just found out that our precious y/n has run away" Doma said with his usual grin plastered on his face. He knew that his master would be furious but he didn't care really since it was mainly the two demons' job to watch over her the entire time.
