Raindrops

You have taught my impressionable mind

about the rain,

how I have been so inexpressably blind.

Stereotypes whisper into the ear

that when there is rain,

there must be sadness hanging midair.

Unorthodox concepts fall from your lips

paralyze those misleading ideas,

catalyze a new outlook towards these soothing drips.

Comfort and tranquility-

reaching out to proffer the soul stability.

Calm and ease-

granting the world an ever-serene breeze.

Rain purges this earth, bringing a sense of peace to a mind exhausted by the monotony of the constant morbidity choking this already darkened and damned world.
