Chloe clutched her sister's hand and looked around nervously, "Thank god, maybe he moved somewhere else,"

"Why would he be at the airport?' Zoe asked, "And maybe he dyed his hair?"

"Are you girls looking for someone?" a male voice asked them. It was a boy, about their age.

"Yeah, have you seen a girl with dark blue hair?" Zoe asked.

"Yeah, she's right down there," he said, "Is it your first time here?"

"Yeah," Zoe said, just as Chloe said, "No,"

"She's been boycotting Paris, she's only here for the con-"

"Zoe!" Chloe scolded, then giggled awkwardly, "Ignore that,"

"O-kay," he said, "Enjoy your stay,"

He walked away from them. Chloe glared at Zoe, "Zo, are you trying to ruin my life? Nobody needs to know about that incident,"

"Sorry," Zoe said defensively, "I won't mention it again,"

Chloe walked ahead of her to find Marinette, then heard an ear splitting shriek. She jumped and saw Alya and Marinette grinning like idiots.

She and Zoe made their way to them.

Chloe smiled, "Oh my gosh, it's actually you!"

"You have got to see everyone! They've all changed so much," Alya exclaimed.

Chloe shrugged, "I'm sure,"

"No really, it's like Gabriel worked his money magic on them and now they're all kinda depressed, which I guess is why he got the idea in the first place,"

"Of course," Chloe said, rolling her eyes, "Money can buy you anything"

"Why are you so bitter?" Marinette asked, "Zoe, why's she so bitter?"

Zoe glanced at Chloe before speaking, "Because of you know who,"

Alya rolled her eyes, "Chloe, there's no chance that you'll be paired up with him,"

Chloe sighed, "Nevermind,"

Then she completely shifted her mood and smiled, "So, how've you been Mari?"

Chloe spun around in Marinette's room. She hadn't really wanted to go back to the hotel. Her parents barely knew she'd left. Zoe wanted to go visit Audrey and Andre though and she'd left minutes ago.

"Wow, your room is so organized," Chloe remarked,

"Is that Adrien?" she asked, pointing at the wall.

Marinette blushed, "I'm hoping that-" she coughed and tried to cover her cheeks, "I'm hoping we'll be partners,"

Chloe grinned, "Nice, but I'm sure Gabriel will find a way to rig Adrien's partner,"

"It's all based on Andre's predictions, he's always right," Alya said.

"Pfft, okay," Chloe muttered, "He sounds like a stupid publicity stunt to give Gabriel some pocket money,"

"Why are you so negative about everything?" Alya teased, "Keep that attitude and you'll probably actually get paired up with Luka,"

"Shut up," Chloe laughed.

"By the way, why are you guys so upset with each other?" Marinette asked.

"Yeah, I've actually never heard the story,"

Chloe sighed, "You have to promise not to tell anyone,"

"We won't,"

"Back when I was 12, my mom had banned me from dating anyone until I turned 18. Because of that I didn't talk to boys. Period. I focused on building her business by modelling and pretending everything was OK. My mom didn't like me, but she didn't hate me. One day I was walking, I'd snuck out of the house to get my mom a birthday present. A boy walked up to me. He was a bit older than me. He asked me who I was and I told him. He took out his phone and told me to smile. I smiled, because when someone tells you to smile you smile. He then kissed my cheek, took a picture and then said that he was a big fan and asked for permission to post it. I agreed to it. Then a few days later, my mom banged on my door. She shoved the picture in my face and yelled at me. I didn't know what she was talking about until I saw it myself. There was also video footage. I told her we were just friends but that didn't satisfy her. She told me that I was banned from leaving the house. So I grabbed everything that mattered to me. My laptop, my phone, my teddy bear, and some money. I could already fly to New York for free. But where would I go? Luckily I found Zoe and her dad. And that's where I've been for the past 5 years,"

Alya and Marinette hugged their crying friend sympathetically.

"But are you sure he didn't change?" Marinette asked.

"Obviously I'm sure!" she snapped, "Once a creep, always a creep,"

"Because-"

"Marinette," Alya warned, "Don't,"

Marinette rolled her eyes, "Nevermind,"
