blind

A blinding light that caught my eye.
Until this day I wonder why.
Now I'm hoping to reach the sky,
a glimmer of hope in a lie.

A blossom blooming where my heart resides,
now I'm following it wherever it guides.
The mind warns me of the danger it bears,
before my journey will end up in tears.
Yet my sight my senses have all turned blind,
since the words you utter sound so kind.
