I couldn't get Alex off my mind all last night. Even laying next to Andy my mind wonders to him. It is definitely a shame that I'm only here for two weeks.

Me: Are you okay Alex?

Ten minutes pass before he replies to me.

Alex <3: I'm alright.

Me: Did you want to grab some coffee and talk?

Alex <3: I'm sure Andy wouldn't approve of that.

I look to my right to Andy. He's passed out.

Me: I don't care what he thinks. We're not dating.

Alex <3: Where'd you want to meet?

Me: Pick me up at the hotel?

Alex <3: I'll be there in 30mins.

Thirty minutes flew by. Alex pulls up to the hotel in a black car.

"Hey," I say as I get in the passenger seat.

He still looks like shit. He's not alright.

"Hey," he says before taking off.

The ride to the cafe was quiet. We take a seat on the front patio to the cafe.

"What's wrong Alex?" I ask him after the waitress leaves with our orders.

"It doesn't matter Mika," he replies.

"It matters to me."

"Why?" Alex asks.

"I care about you Alex. I know I barely know you, but I really care about you," I tell him. He looks up at me with tears in his eyes. "I think about you all the time. Ever since I've met you I can't get you off my mind."

"She's taking me back to court to get full custody of the two boys. She doesn't want me to see them. They don't want to see me. And to top it off my father that hasn't talked to me since the divorce passed away the other night."

"Alex..." I start. "Is that why you got trashed that night?"

He nods and wipes a tear. The waitress returns with our orders.

"I'ma use the restroom," he says as he gets up.

"Can we actually get these to go?" I ask while Alex uses the restroom.

The waitress rolls her eyes and leaves with the drinks. By the time Alex is back I'm waiting by the entrance with the coffees. He gives me a weird look as he takes his.

"Why don't we just head back to your place to talk..." I tell him as we make our way back to his car. He nods.

"Why did your parents stop talking to you after the divorce?" I ask him.

"They found out that I liked men. They didn't agree with it, but I told them that I'm not going to change who I am or who I like for them."

"Sorry," I tell him as we approach his car. Before I can reach for the door handle he's already there. I can't help but smile widely and blush a bit as he holds the car door open for me. "Thank you."

As we drive back to his place I watch him drive. He's focused on the rode with both of his hands on the sreering wheel. I grab his right hand and hold it in my lap. A smile creeps on his face as we lace our fingers together.

But his smile quickly fades as he snatches his hand back. "Andy," he whispers.

"Alex..."

"You're still with him Mika," he says as he pulls over to the side of the road.

We sit in silence for a few minutes as cars pass by us.

"We aren't together. He wants to be, but I can't. I can't stand another heartbreak," I tell him.

He turns to me in his seat, "and what makes you think that you won't get one with me?"

I look at him confused and almost angrily.

"You don't know me Mika. I don't know you. What makes you think that once you get to know me that yo-"

I cut him off with my lips. He pulls back a little.

"We can't," he says as he kisses my lips again.

"We are," I tell him as I detach the seatbelt from me and move to his side of the car.

He pushes his seat back as I straddle him.

"Wait...wait..." he says.

I hover over him and look at him.

"We're on the side of the road," he laughs.

"So?" I laugh back.

"My house is five minutes away...." Alex says.

"You better drive fast babe," I tell him.
