Alex hasn't replied to me in two days. I tried texting, calling, and I even went to his house. But he wasn't there or didn't respond. Maybe he realizes that we can't be together.

After much convincing, Andy finally left. He went home to visit his family and to work on a project. Hopefully he can keep busy long enough for me to figure out my feelings for him. I love him, but I can only take so much.

I'm just getting ready to leave the studio. I stayed longer than I intended to today. I guess I've had a lot to write about lately.

"Watch out!" I hear someone shout as I exit the building. Next thing I know I'm on the ground staring up at two guys leaning over me.

"That doesn't look good," one of them says as I grab my forehead.

My head is pounding. I pull my hand away from it to see blood on it. I then pass out. When I wake up I'm now staring up at the most gorgeous brown eyes I've ever seen.

Alex.

He smile at me, "good morning."

I smile back, "good morning."

"I'm just kidding it's almost 10PM," he chuckles.

I roll my eyes at him and grab my head.

"Watch that part right there," he says as he pokes my forehead.

"Ow!"

"You hit your head pretty hard. Twenty stitches," he tells me.

"That explains the headache," I tell him.

"Yea," he smiles.

"Is this the only way I get to see you?" I ask after a minute of silence.

Alex sits in the chair next to the bed. "Mika...I don't want just a fling. I need a relationship. I'm not getting any younger."

Neither am I...

He stands up and grabs his clipboard. "Your mother should be here any minute. Then you can checkout."

"Don't go Alex," I say as he starts to head to the door. He stops. "Please stay."

He sighs, "why?"

"I want you. I want to try."

Alex's eyes widen. He opens his mouth to say something, but closes it slowly. I want that mouth.

"Please?"

"How can we make it work?" Alex asks.

"I don't know. Maybe since you don't have the kids...you can come with me. We can get to know each other and you know..."

"Can I think about it?" Alex asks.

"Of course," I smile.

Alex took up to the day that I was scheduled to leave to give me an answer. We haven't seen or talked to each other since the hospital. He texted me this morning saying he'd meet me at the airport.

"Alex!" I shouts as he started walking towards me.

Alex gave me a wide smile and waved at me.

"So you're coming?" I ask.

He pointed towards his bag and nodded. I smiled widely at him and engulfed him in a tight hug.

--

Alex slept the entire flight back to London. I'm not going to lie, I did watch him sleep for a good chunk of the flight.

--

When we reached my house I quickly noticed the several cars upfront. 'Shit,' I think to myself. One is Fortune's, then mothers, and Andy's...great.

"Is everything okay?" Alex asks as I turn off the car.

I nod and sigh as I get out of the car. Alex is hesitant at first, but follows. He follows me to the front door and then I turn to face him.

"Andy is here," I tell him quickly.

His smile drops and he looks away.

"But I'm going to tell him to leave," I tell him as I turn his face towards me.

Alex just nods.
