As they approached the snowy tundra, Wilbur thought about how much fun it would be to play in the snow. To throw snowballs at people and to build snowmen. Then he made a discovery.

When Wilbur went to touch the snow, it stung him and made a sizzle noise, almost like he was burned. "Ow!" He yelled, jumping away from the snow. Techno jolted and looked around as if spooked by something. Phil also looked around quite fast.

"Did-did you hear that?" Phil asked Techno. "The sizzling sound?" Techno nooded. They heard the sizzle. Wilbur was too distracted at the moment to take note of that.

When he got hurt and jumped away, he never came back to the ground. Instead, he hovered over the ground like magnets repelling one another. Wilbur tried to contain his enthusiasm but he couldn't take it much longer. "I- I can fly! Friend, look! I'm floating!!!" He cried. He soared upwards, taking in the new point of view. They were headed towards a duplex. There was a porch that extended between and in front of the two houses with stairs on the right side leading up onto the wooden deck. He also took note of a house that was inserted into the snow-covered hill in front of the house to the left. Wilbur descended back to Friends side to follow Techno and Phil to the Duplex.

As they ascended the stairs outside the houses, Techno spoke up. "Why don't you drop off the sheep at your house then come over to mine for a chat?" He recommended. Philza paused for a moment in thought before answering.

"I'll have to come back to check on him though. You know that right?"Phil said. Techno nodded and headed right, towards his house, while Phil, Friend and Wilbur went left. As Phil opened the door, Wilbur stood in the doorway, motionless. This house was a safe place for him. It was comforting. Wilbur calmly looked over to Phil and his woolly companion.

"I'll be back in an hour, ok little guy?" Phil spoke to friend in a soft tone. He tied and knotted the lead, connecting Friend to a doorknob. The sheep baahed at the bird-man in response. Phil chuckled, "Alright, I'll be back in an hour. Don't make a mess, got that?" Phil called as his figure slipped through the door and closed it with a click.

"A whole hour!!!" Wilbur whisper-yelled. He could do so much in just an hour! After a hard 10 minutes of doing random stuff and thinking, he came up with what he would spend the next 50 minutes doing: trying to hold things.

Wilbur was very determined to be able to pet Friend or make a snowball. Nothing could come between Wilbur and his formidable goal. There's no time like the present, so he began his practice. For half an hour, his hand slipped through the sheeps' wool with ease and zero signs of friction. Finally, after taking a short break and contemplating, it happened.

On the 126th try (yes, he had been counting), Wilbur had focused his attention on his hand. He slowly lowered his hand toward the blue coloured wool of his amigo until they would make contact.

And it did.

His hand rested on the wool. He could feel the texture. He could actually touch something! Wilbur stroked the fleece once or twice, taking in the feeling, until he had lost focus. He collapsed next to Friend, catching his breath. "Doing that is tiring," he made out in between gasps of air. He stayed there for about 15 minutes, regaining his strength and getting his head around his new ability, until Phil walked through the door.

"I'm going to take you over to Technos, ok? That way I can keep an eye on you and you don't have to stay tied up." Phil remarked sweetly as he approached the sheep. Wilbur moved out of the way as he knelt down to untie the end of the rope that was connected to the doorknob. As the man led Friend out, the ghost floated up and followed them to the humanoid pigs' house.
