Today was calm, the blue jays sang in the window, the harbor had small boats running in and out at a smooth rythm, and the geese were calm today. This morning was perfect.
After getting out of bed, I put on some of the "girlie" clothes I have. But in my opinion there is no "girl" or "boy" clothes. I go down the stairs and get breakfast before going up the stairs to brush my teeth.
I grab my shoes and a bit a bread before heading out the door. Today is a perfect day to go the flower gardens. The flower gardens had anything from lilacs to the maple leaf, and to which yes it is a flower.
Walking through the gardens, I feel as though the world has pushed all its problems away from this place. The calming effect of the beauty has its way into everything in the area.
I sit down at a bench close to the small lake in the middle of the gardens before pulling the bread I grabbed out, catching the attention of the nearby geese in the lake. They swarm around me all wanting a piece of the bread, so I start giving them each a small portion of the bread to make sure everyone got the same.
While I was still feeding the geese, a man who looked to be in his early 20s sat down beside me.
"Hello" he greeted.
"Oh! Hi! Did you also come here to feed the geese?" I ask him.
"Nah, I just came here to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful nature of the gardens." He said. I give the slightest smirk before replying.
"Okie! But anyway, what's your name?"
"Oh! The names Siwang, Siwang Axstria. And yours?" He asks back.
"My name is Charlie Oldham!"
He says,"Nice name!" Then gave me a charming smile, making a small blush spread across my cheeks."Oh wait- I forgot to ask you, what are your pronouns? I don't want to accidentally mis-gender you." He said continuing.
"Well most people mistake me for a girl at first, but my pronouns are He/Him!" I say giving him a kind smile for having this small chat.
His reaction was not what I expected, his cheeks filled with a slight blush, his eyes widened a slight bit, and he muttered something inaudible to my ears.
We chat about random things for a while. With few jokes here and there.I then realised we had been taking for almost the whole day.
I say with guilty tone, "I'm really sorry, but I have to get home before dark."
"Okay! I understand. I also have got to go home." He pauses for a moment before giving me a shy answer "Maybe, if you want to! Could I have your number?" He almost mumbled.
"Of course! If you want to we could come back to have another chat?" With those words his eyes lit up with excitement.
After exchanging numbers, pack my things up and walk back up the street to my small apartment. Got ready for bed and slowly falling asleep with the feeling of happiness and the unfamiliar feeling of a pair of eyes watching me.
