I was planning on running some errands before I went to bed but I heard my phone going off. I ran to the house phone. " hello?" I said softly. " hi is this y/n, y/l/n?" " yes this is her. Why what's wrong?" " Well ms. Y/n we have some great news for you, Eddie Munson has been doing very well and has actually woken up and we are trying to get him to-" hello y/n?" I ran out the house with the phone dangling and didn't even bother to leave a note. I grabbed my keys and left. Once I got there I ran to his hospital room and didn't even bother to knock. I stood there in shock for a second looking at him sitting up rubbing his eyes. " oh my god." I said covering my mouth. " Well glad you can make it sweetheart" he says softly. " I ran to him and hugged him gently trying not to stress him. " oh lord, I have to call Dustin!" I say with excitement. After I called Dustin I asked Eddie some brief questions. " did you hear any of the things I said to you?" " well y/n I vaguely remember some words,bits and pieces,but other than that it's a big blur." I looked at him with a fake smile and then quickly looked away. " what's wrong? You know that shitty fake smile doesn't work on me, you know that right?" I looked down while laughing. I grab his hand and start rubbing it gently."we...we almost lost you." I say mumbling."I know but you didn't, and that's all that matters okay? " I start to form tears and quickly brush them away. " I am so so glad your still here. I honestly don't know what I would've done without you. Hawkins wouldn't be the same Eddie." "well I mean everyone hates me and I'm probably going to jail after this." "No Eddie no. After what happened we told the police about what happened and they surprisingly believed us." I said smiling. " did your uncle come earlier?" I asked. " yeah, he was actually the one who saw me wake up." " Eddie I'm so sorry I would've been here but I had to check up-" I got stopped. Eddie put his hand on my cheek. " sweetheart, it's okay. You don't need a reason you have a life and I know you've spent a while In here with me knowing you never gave up on me." I looked him in the eyes and started sobbing. He wiped my tears away and I started to drifted asleep on the couch.
