KENNEDY A. STEPHENS

He then brought it to his lips and licked it gently before looking up at me.

"You Smoke?" He asks as I brought my attention back.

"No." I simply replied.

"Ready?" The producer asked and Kentrell nodded bringing the rolled blunt to his lips.

He then looked over at me and pointed to the lighter in front of me. I lit the lighter and brought it to the blunt.

I set it back down as he blew the smoke in the opposite direction, "Thank you." He said and I hummed in response.

I listened as he finished making his song. I listened for the lyrics and broke down every lyric.

"I'm sorry, mama, I've been hurtin', I ain't takin' time out
to call."

"Not even prayin', jump out the bed, I swear it's hard to stand tall." He sang.

"Today in life, it ain't nothin' like old days. I say money made everything change."

"Kennedy?" Someone said making me turn around.

"Making sure that's ya name. Where you from? His girl?" A lightskin with bigger ears asked. I think his name was kd..

"Kd?" I asked and he nodded.

"I'm not his girlfriend. Just her to.. get to know him." I explained and he looked at me.

"So you're not his girlfriend but you're getting to know him.. so you're a groupie? Fan?" He listed and I shook my head.

"Mane leave ha alone dude." Kentrell laughed.

"I'm just asking, relax." Kd said and I smiled.

"Just bidness." Kentrell replied looking at me.

"Whatever." Kd said before leaving the room.

"Finished?" I asked and he nodded his head.

"What now? Recording some more?" I asked leaning in my chair.

"Nahh. I wanna talk na." He said and I sat up.

"I'm listening." I spoke and he pushed his chair back.
