| HOW LOVE WORKS |

"All done." My mom said as she finished braiding my hair.
This was my third day here, Kentrell had called to check on me but really wanted me to enjoy my time with my family.
I would FaceTime him every night to make sure he didn't feel alone. I tried to make include him in my daily activities.
"Thank you." I smiled as she returned it.
"I'm glad that you're happy." She said as she held my face.
"I know I couldn't give you the things you've wanted but I tried. I really tried." She said began to tear up.
"And Im sorry i can't have you in your own apartment and own savings." She said as her voice cracked.
"But Im blessed to have raised beautiful, strong and intelligent women." She said and I felt my eyes water.
"I promise I'll give you the life you deserve ma." I promised before pulling her into a hug.
"Thankful for everything." Brooklyn pitched in.
"I love you my girls so much. Nana is happy to witness you guys grow into such humble women." My mom added.
"I also promise to have her back home and healthy." I told my mom.
"I promise." I assured her.
"You guys wanna go see her before heading to the beach?" My mom asked and I nodded.
"I have a gift for her actually." I smiled wiping my face.
"Just called and she isn't feeling well." My dad said as he entered the living room.
"They said we can come after tomorrow." He added.
"Well looks like it'll wait." I sighed.
"Come on, let me get y'all stuff in the car before I head to work." My dad said making us get up.
I grabbed my bag with my towel, tossing it over my shoulder.
"So pretty!" My sister said as she took my pictures.
"Ok ok, that's it." I smiled before taking my phone back.
I sat over the sand as my sister and mom walked along the water. I went and FaceTimed Kentrell.
"Hey fat fat." He smiled showing his grills.
"Heyy k." I smiled.
"Where you at?" He asked making me turn the camera towards the water.
