"Ok, are we ready?" Marinette called out.

"Yep," Hugo yelled.

He climbed into the back seat put his seatbelt on and waited.

Marinette climbed into the passenger seat and finally, Adrien started the car.

Marinette took out her phone and called her mom. She connected the call to the car.

"Hello, Dear?"

"Hey Mom, you're on speaker phone."

"Oh! Hello Adrien."

"Oh, mom we're in the car. Adrien basically tunes all noises out in the car. Doesn't even play music."

"Well, that just means you're safe. Anyway, you're going to a wedding?"

"Yes, Mom, I already told you, Luka and Kagami get married today."

"Ok. Well is Hugo with you."

"Yep."

"Hi, Mema!"

"Hello, Hugo. Happy Birthday!"

"Thank you."

"Well Mom," Marinette interrupted, "I have to call you back. I need to call Felix. We might be a bit late."

"Ok, call me when you get there."

"I will. I love you."

"Love you too sweetie, bye."

"Bye."

Marinette hung up and dialed again.

"Hello?"

"Hey Felix, we wanted to call you quick. We might be a bit late and we know that Luka and Kang are busy so we wanted to know if they were starting anything yet."

"No, you should be fine. People haven't even been allowed into the building yet."

"Oh! Ok, good. We'll be there soon."

"Ok, am I on speaker?"

"Yeah, do you want to talk to Hugo?"

"Yes... Hey Plagg."

"Uncle Felix, I have a name. You're the only one who calls me that. Why do you even use that name anyway?"

"It was my nickname for your father when we were little. He used to follow me around and I tried to avoid him like the plague. Thus, the name Plagg was born."

"So you think I'm a plague?"

"Nope, you are quite the opposite. The nickname is more for nostalgia."

"Well then give one to Emelie."

"HUGO!," Marinette interrupted, "No one was supposed to know the name yet."

"Don't worry Marinette, I'll keep her name a secret. Now let's see...Tikki. Her name is Tikki."

"What's a Tikki?" Hugo asked.

"Oh, well I got the name from- Oh wait I gotta go. Plagg I'll explain it later."

"Ok. Bye Uncle.

"Bye."

The call ended.

Adrien had been paying attention to the conversation. He just took in the information and chose to talk about it later. Focusing on the road was way more important.

"Oh! I am so excited!" Marinette smiled.

Adrien smiled as a way of saying 'I heard you' before stopping at a red light.

They waited at the light in comfortable silence before Marinette looked towards the window.

"DRI-DRI THAT TRUCK IS SWERVING AND IT'S NOT SLOWING DOWN."

Adrien's head quickly turned.

The truck was coming quick.

Adrien started driving in reverse but there was a car behind them.

Everything went black.

Adrien woke up.

"Oh my God you're awake."

Adrien squinted at the voice and realized it was Aunt Amelie.

A day or two later his family came back.

All he heard was the talk of this miracle until Sabine and Tom entered the room.

They had chosen to deliver the news to him as everyone else was afraid. Nurses entered in behind them.

"Hello Adrien."

"Hi? Who are you?"

The nurses looked concerned.

"Adrien," Sabine was pale and she looked at him with the eyes of someone who had lost someone special, "Marinette didn't make it."

As soon as Adrien heard this his thought process went a thousand miles per second. It was his fault. He should have seen that truck before it hit.

All he could bring himself to say was...

"Who is Marinette?"
