JIsung sat on his bed with glossy eyes, looking at the new mark on his arm.

"It's okay, she's only h-hoping for the b-best..."

His voice broke halfway through because he couldn't seem to tell whether he was telling himself, or asking himself.

Jisung knew it was useless to cry over it for too long, so he got out his books and studied.

"Maybe if I study harder, she'll be proud..."

He studied until dinner, doing the same after it till he couldn't go on any longer, then the orange haired male decided to go to sleep at midnight, all worn out.

Jisung met his friends before class like he usually did every school day for the last three years.

"So... found your soulmate?"

Hyunjin and Felix drifted their attention to Jisung, who only sighed because they had already talked about this.

"I already told you guys I don't care about it. We'll meet when fate wants us to, but right now, studying is important"

"You should really take a break sometimes and hang out with us... We miss you when we hang out without you"

Jisung glanced at the pouting Felix, and he couldn't help but soften at the sight because it was way too adorable.

"I'm sorry, I do want to hang out with you guys, I really do! But I have to study because of m-"

Jisung froze and gulped. He almost gave it all away to his friends without realising. Jisung mentally slapped himself for being too careless.

"Because of what?"

"My future, Jinnie"
