Chapter Ten~Bond?

I see my mom lying in a pool of her own blood. I scream at the top of my lungs and just stand there breathless and speechless. Who would do such a cruel thing?

Memphis...

They are going to pay for killing my mother. I swear to god I will kill every single one of them.

William wraps his arms around me and pulls me from the room. I kick and scream but it's no use, he's too strong for me and I don't want to use magic, it only ends up with me feeing drained.

"Why. I just got her back and now she's gone for good." I cry into William's chest.

I lift my head to see that we were in William's room.

"I will kill the bastards that caused you pain." William growls.

"This is my fight, not yours." I say.

"Wrong. This is our fight and we will fight it together." William says as if reminding me.

I smile at him and curl up beside my mate. I close my eyes and attempt to sleep but the thought of my mom's dead body just a few doors down the hall haunts me.

Slowly but surly, I fall asleep.

I move my head and realize that I'm not where I fell asleep. I stand up to see that I'm standing in the middle of a forest. How the hell did I get out here?

I hear leave crackle and twigs snap.

"Who's there?" I shout.

I hear a growl in the distance and I feel fear jolt though my body. I have no idea where I am and I have no idea what's out there and I have no idea how I got here!

"Who's there?" I shout again.

Out of the corner of my eye I see something moving towards me. It looks like a wolf but I can't tell for sure.

I start running and I feel the wolf gaining on me. I don't know what to expect but at the same time I do. I keep running as fast as I possibly can but the creature is still gaining on me.

I feel out of breath but I know that I have to keep running if I want to make it out of this alive.

"Chloe!" William booms.

"What? Where am I?" I jolt up to the sitting possession in the bed.

"You were screaming and you felt hot." William places his hand on my forehead to feel how warm I am.

"I don't know what happened. I mean, if I was sleeping that means I was dreaming right? But this dream felt a little to real for my liking." I say ring to calm my erratic breathing.

"You're safe now." William reassures me.

"What about my mom?" I ask.

"You've been asleep for three hours. It's almost midnight. Veronica phoned the police chief who is part off our pack. Him and a few other pack members came to take the body away a little while ago." William explains.

With my mom's dead body out of the house I feel more at ease and I think I might be able to rest now without having nightmares.

I try to drift back to sleep but I feel too weird, like, energetic. How can I be energetic at twelve o'clock midnight?

"Well you did stay asleep, more or less, for three days. Three days of pure torture for me." William jokes the first put but changes his tone completely to a 'matter of fact' tone.

"I know and I am truly sorry for all that I've put you through." I say sincerely.

I snuggle into Will's chest and I feel safe. "So, I'm just wondering here but are we fully bonded yet? I mean Max and Grace were fully bonded pretty quickly." I say trying not to sound selfish.

Will chuckles. "No my Luna, not quite yet. For an Alpha male and an Alpha female to become fully bonded there are some steps that most regular wolves don't."

"What is it that we have to do that they don't?" I ask knowing that Will wont hurt me.

"I'm not sure its the best thing for you to hear right now." He replies.

"Why no?" I push he topic.

He sighs. "Are you sure you want to know?"

"Yes William, I want to be bonded with you and I want to know how we can do that." I say softly.

"Alpha mates have to do whats called the Blood Ceremony. Thats when each Alpha marks their mate and claims them. The marks stay on the skin for eternity." Will explains.

"Okay but how do we do the Blood Ceremony?" I ask cautiously.

"We bite each other leaving a mark for all others to see." I tense up immediately and know that I am going to have to bite him and he is going to have to bite me if we want to be bonded.

This is going to be a long night.
