I work at a cafe down in the town. It's absolutely beautiful with the cutesy-themed walls and menu items. The cups have little cats on them as do the plates and bowls as well.
Right across from the cafe is a bookstore. Sometimes after a shift, I like to go across the street and check out the new books. I was on my way to do just that.
I walked into the store, the door chiming as it opened, and scanned around for a new romance book to pick up.
One book called out to me. Its cover was a pale green and the paper inside had an older coloring to it. I reached out my hand slowly and felt another hand touching mine.
Face flushing, I pulled back immediately and turned to look at my new company.
"Sorry, kero," The girl said. She had long green hair with a bow towards the bottom. Her dress flowed silkily giving off a graceful vibe. The dress itself also being green, but much lighter than her hair.
"Ah right, sorry," I replied sheepishly, playing with my hair. It had grown quite long but I liked it. Sometimes it would get in my way of seeing but it's not that bad.
We both stood in awkward silence. Neither of us dared to move. After what felt like forever, the girl said "So, you like romance?"
I felt myself laughing a tiny bit, all of the tension leaving my body. "Yeah, it's amazing how different the books and reality are when it comes to love. I kinda wish these things could happen to me, ya know?"
"I do know. A lot of people tease me for it back home, but at least I have something I can hope for." She replied, talking as gentle as her looks suggest she would.
"I totally understand. My family always bothers me about it. Telling me to "act my age." I roll my eyes, scoffing at the thought of my parents.
"Wow, you so get me. My name is Tsuyu Asui, but please call me Tsu." She stuck out her hand.
"Alright, Tsu, I'm y/n," I replied, shaking her hand. It was soft and a bit warm.
"That's a pretty name, Y/n," Tsu told me, speaking so softly.
My face flushed, turning as red as a tomato. "Thanks," I muttered back.
*** Time skip
Sigh
I flopped myself into my bed after a long day of hanging out with Tsu. Me being my stupid self never asked for her number. I know, stupid.
She was so sweet. Every time she smiled it made me want to smile too. She's so caring, taking care of all of her siblings like that. It just makes my heart die from the cuteness.
What is this feeling? Am I happy that I have a friend? Or is it something more? Maybe, someday I will find out.
A/n~ I got a bit bored on the bus so I decided to write this. Thanks for the recommendation Pug_Life08 I'll try to update this one when I get a chance.
