"I can't believe I still haven't told you who I'm married to," Aizawa drags his hand down his face. "It's been weeks and you still don't know who your other guardian is going to be."

"What if he doesn't like me once we meet," I ask, playing with the stuffed cat in Aizawa's car.

Aizawa laughs. "You two already know each other. Trust me, he likes you plenty," Aizawa promises.

"Wait," I question, "We already met and you didn't say anything!"

"Sorry," Aizawa chuckles. "It slipped my mind."

The rest of the way to the cat cafe I'm wondering who this mystery man I've already met is.

"Hey," A familiar voice yells when I get out of the car. I look up and see Present Mic.

"Present Mic! You and Aizawa are married," I shout, then quietly whisper to myself, "How did I not realize?"

Present Mic gasps in fake offense. "You didn't tell the little listener? But seriously, call me Hizashi!"

"Ok, I think I can do that."

We go inside and I order a meowcha and bluepurry muffin. While we wait for the food and drinks, Aizawa and Present- I mean Hizashi talk about our current situation. I'm mostly distracted by the cute kitties like Lou-Lou and Cookie.

*** A few weeks later (Court Day)

Everyone around me is chatting as we wait for the judge to start the session. I'm dressed up nice, as are Aizawa and Hizashi. I can feel my heart pounding in my chest and my palms are getting sweaty.

"It's okay, little listner. Shou and I are going to keep you safe," Hizashi whispers to me.

I smile at him in gratitude. Aizawa reaches out his hand and gives me something small and cube-shaped.

"It's a fidget cube. Might help with the nerves," He explains quietly.

"Thanks," I say as I take the cube. It's actually pretty helpful.

The judge walks into the room. "Silence, everybody."

The session begins. My mother's side argues about how Aizawa and Hizashi have dangerous jobs, being heroes, and how one has two jobs and the other has three so they wouldn't have time for me.

The judge asks what we have to say about that. "Y/n is training her hardest to be a hero herself, us being heroes wouldn't be any more dangerous for her. And because we have multiple jobs we would be able to provide more for Y/n," Aizawa explains.

"I work from home for my third job," Hizashi refutes. "and as a teacher at Y/n's school I would work when she's at the school."

"Good points."

"As the mother, I believe I would be a better choice. I have a good paying job and we're always home at the same times. Would you really take my baby away from me."

After a while my mother is still winning but only barely. The witnesses haven't had proof of anything substantial enough to convince the jury of my mother not being fit to raise me.

When the break begins I head out to freshen up. "I'll be right back," I call out to Aizawa and Hizashi.

"I'll go with you," Aizawa says.

So Aizawa follows me to keep an eye out. He doesn't trust my mother not to try anything, and I wouldn't either. Good thing too, the second I'm out of sight from everyone else she approaches me.

"What do you want," I ask with a glare.

"Is that any way to be treating your mother?"

I roll my eyes. "Why are you doing this?"

"Because," She frowns, "I regret kicking you out. Please, (Deadname), come back home."

"My name is Y/n and I use she/her pronouns. I will not come back until you learn to respect me," I snarl.

What I wasn't expecting was my mother to scream a slur and slap me. My eyes are wide and my face stings. I can feel tears welling up in my eyes.

Someone carefully grabs my hand. "Y/n, I'm here," I hear Aizawa's voice whispering. "Come on, let's get you cleaned up."

I nod my head and go with him. He takes me back to Hizashi after. Hizashi is worrying over me and I just kind of sit there with tears threatening to fall. Hizashi comforts me and it helps a bit. By the time the break is over I've just barely calmed down.

"Now," The judge starts, "Is there anything else any side would like to share?" I raise my hand. The judge riases an eyebrow and both Aizawa and Hizashi look surprised. "Go right ahead."

I look to Aizawa. "You got that on video, didn't you?" Aizawa nods, pulling up the video. I turn back to the judge. "I have a video taken just a bit ago to share."

The judge pulls up the video for everyone to see. Hizashi comforts me more as everything that just went down plays.

The slap echoes through the room as everyone is silent. "What would you like to say about this," The judge asks.

"This is obviously fake," She cries. "I would never lay a hand on my child!"

"Say it," I demand. "Call me your daughter! Say my name, if you really regret everything then call me Y/n!"

"Stop with this fit and come home," She says instead.

I scoff. "I knew it. You never cared about me."

***

After everyone finished their cases, the jury decided I would stay with Hizashi and Shouta, my new legal guardians. We go to my old house and pack up everything I want to keep. I don't take much, most of my stuff is at the dorms after all. After only ten minutes I'm packed up.

As I'm leaving I look at my birth mother one more time. She won't even look at me. I sigh but leave with Aizawa and Hizashi.

The car ride is quiet. I look out the windows  the whole time, making a mental map. When we get to the house, Aizawa and Hizashi take my stuff inside for me. When I walk inside I'm immedietly being begged for attention by a ginger cat.

"I see you've met Saffron," Aizawa smiles. "We got him shortly after we moved in, Hizashi named him."

I pick up the cat and sit on the couch. I pet Saffron and soon he's purring and rubbing on my hand.

Hizashi sits down next to me after a bit. "Looks like Goose wants to say hi," He says, picking up a big white maine coon. "Shou named him."

"Hi, Goose," I introduce myself. He sniffs me and turns up his nose. Aizawa glares at Goose and the cat decides he is now my best friend.

"I put all your things in your room," Aizawa says. "We'll be going back to the school on Monday."

He sits on the couch next to me. I smile and pet the kitties on my lap. "Now that you're my... parents? Guardians?"

Aizawa and Hizashi hum. "Whichever you prefer."

"Alright," I smile. "Now that you guys are my dads, can I call you Shouta?"

"Whatever you want, kiddo," Shouta grinns as he ruffles my hair.
