Based off of T.S. Elliot's East Coker (1940)
*(East Coker, ll 159-160)

The Earth Today
The whole Earth is our hospital
Endowed by the Ruined Millionaire. *
Built by laborers without money
Funded by millions to spare.
Money is our great omnipotent
Not grown on trees, but in banks.
The Ruined Millionaire is our Messiah
And only he builds up our ranks.
No longer are laborers important
They are a workforce of the past.
The world is run by wealthy bigots
With deep pockets that are vast.
The whole Earth is our hospital
All is sick and misgiving.
Our Earth is a corrupted heart
One where it's not worth living.
So farewell to the humble
To the grateful and to the giving.
On my deathbed I write this;
May the Real God be forgiving.
