Eva
As I slowly fluttered my eyes open, the harsh sunlight pierced through my eyelids, forcing me to squint. My head was throbbing with a relentless ache, and confusion clouded my thoughts as I struggled to remember what had happened the night before.
Being dazed, I tried to sit up, only to find myself tangled in unfamiliar bedsheets. Panic surged through me as I surveyed the room, realizing that I wasn't in my own bed. The scent of someone else lingered in the air, mingling with the stale aroma of alcohol.
My heart raced in my chest as the memories of the previous night flooded back. "Taehyung." His name echoed in my mind, sending a shiver down my spine. "How could I have been so reckless? I barely knew him, yet we had ended up here, in this strange room, tangled in each other's embrace." I whispered yelled trying not to wake the dude sleeping beside me.
With anxiety, I searched for any clues to where I was and who this person lying next to me was. My eyes fell upon a shirt draped over the chair, and recognition dawned upon me. "It is Taehyung's shirt, the one he had been wearing last night." I muttered.
Hesitantly, I reached out and picked it up, clutching it to my chest as if it were a lifeline. Memories flashed before my eyes - the laughter, the luscious glances, the undeniable chemistry between us. But now, in the harsh light of day, everything felt different.
Regret washed over me in waves as I realized the implications of what had happened. I had let my guard down, allowed myself to be swept away by the moment without considering the consequences. And now, I was left to face the aftermath. "I just lost my virginity." I murmured in disbelief.
With trembling hands, I pulled on Taehyung's shirt, feeling its soft fabric against my skin. It was a reminder of the mistake I had made, a symbol of the impulsive decision that had led me here.
As I gathered my belongings and prepared to leave, a sense of unease settled in the pit of my stomach. What would happen now? Would Taehyung remember me? I hope he doesn't.
...
I practically ran to Aera's apartment, my heart pounding with each step. She was the only person I trusted enough to confide in about what had happened, and I needed her guidance now more than ever.
When she opened the door, concern etched into her features as she took in my disheveled appearance. "Eva, what happened? You look like you've seen a ghost."
Without any preface, I launched into the story, recounting every detail of the previous night with a mixture of shame and desperation. I told her about the club, the drinks that tasted suspiciously like juice but left me feeling intoxicated, and waking up in a stranger's room and that only one name was ringing on my mind. "Taehyung."
Aera listened intently, her expression growing more serious with each passing moment. When I finally finished, she let out a low whistle, shaking her head in disbelief. "Oh my god, Eva. YOU JUST LOST YOUR VIRGINITY GURL, THAT TOO WHEN YOU WERE DRUNK. Who's that motherfucker." She continued.
"Argh it's all because of me. I shouldn't have left you on your own. I am so sorry baby. Please forgive me." Aera started apologizing for leaving me alone that night. "It's not your fault, Aera." I stated shaking my head slowly.
"I can't believe someone would do that to you." She sighed before continuing, "I know you will still not believe me but my suspect is your step-sis."
"I don't know," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper. "But what's even more unsettling is that I don't even remember how I ended up in his room. It's like everything after those drinks is just a blur."
Aera's gaze hardened when I told her the name. Aera showed me a picture for me to confirm it was Him and she took a deep breath before speaking again. "Eva, there's something you need to know. The man you woke up with... it wasn't just any stranger. It was Kim Taehyung."
My blood ran cold at the mention of his name. Realisation hit me like a truck. Kim Taehyung - the business icon, the king of the mafia world. His reputation preceded him, and the mere thought of being involved with someone like him sent a chill down my spine.
"Kim Taehyung?" I echoed, my voice trembling. "But... how? Why would he...?"
Aera's expression softened, and she reached out to grasp my hand in hers. "I don't know the details, Eva. But Taehyung is not someone to be taken lightly. He's powerful, dangerous even. You need to be careful."
Fear gnawed at my insides as I processed her words. I had stumbled into a world far beyond my comprehension, one filled with intrigue and danger at every turn. And now, I was somehow entangled with a man whose name alone struck fear into the hearts of many.
Taehyung
I woke up with a dull ache pounding behind my temples, a familiar reminder of the previous night's indulgences. As I stirred, my hand instinctively reached out to the empty space beside me, expecting to find her warm presence, but all I grasped was cold air.
Confusion clouded my mind for a moment before reality came crashing back, hitting me like a freight train. She was gone.
"Dove?" I called out, the nickname slipping from my lips without any thought. It was the name I had given her, a term of endearment that had felt so right in the hazy blur of the night. But now, in the harsh light of day, it felt like a cruel mockery of our fleeting connection.
There was no response, no soft murmur of her voice or the gentle rustle of movement. Panic clawed its way up my throat as I scanned the room, searching desperately for any sign of her presence. But she was nowhere to be found.
Anger simmered beneath the surface as realization dawned upon me. She had left, slipped away in the dead of night without so much as a goodbye. And now, I was left to struggle with the aftermath of our reckless encounter alone.
My eyes darkened with a mixture of frustration and regret as I tried to piece together the events of the night before. "How had it come to this? How had I allowed myself to be so careless, to let her slip through my fingers like sand?"
But amidst the storm of emotions swirling within me, one thought remained painfully clear - I couldn't let her go. Not now, not when I had only just begun to unravel her. She had awakened something within me, stirred a longing that I had long buried beneath layers of ice and indifference.
With a determined set to my jaw, I rose from the bed, intent on finding her, no matter the cost. She may have fled into the shadows, but I would hunt her down, track her to the ends of the earth if I had to. For she was not just any woman - she was my dove, and I would be damned if I let her slip away so easily.
