Eva

I moved around my new apartment, tidying up my bed as I prepared to sleep. The soft lamplight cast a warm glow across the room, highlighting the cozy space I had carefully decorated.

It had been a week since I had arranged the furniture, placed some of my favorite books on the shelves, and hung up the soft curtains. The apartment felt so free, a space that was truly mine.

I had finally decided to move in two days ago after returning from Daegu, but the excitement of being in my own place was still new. I had a sleepover yesterday with Aera. We spent the whole day in here doing random stuffs.

As I smoothed out the duvet and fluffed the pillows, my thoughts drifted to Taehyung. He had promised to see me after he finished work, but hours had passed since our phone call this evening, and there had been no sign of him.

I tried to keep herself busy, unpacking the last boxes and rearranging a few things, but as the night wore on, I couldn't help but be disappointed.

I glanced at my phone, hoping to see maybe a message or missed call from him, but the screen was blank. With a sigh, I placed it on the nightstand and turned off the lamp, making the room dark.

I slid under the covers, feeling the cool sheets against my skin as I tried to push thoughts of Taehyung out of my mind and sleep.

"He must be busy," I told myself, though a small part of me still hoped he would show up, surprising me the way he always did. But as the minutes ticked by, sleep began to pull at me, and I let my eyes close, surrendering to the quiet of the night.

Author's Pov

As Eva drifted off, she felt herself sinking into a dream. She thought she heard someone softly calling her name, a voice she knew so well. There was a gentle touch, fingers brushing through her hair, so soothing and familiar.

In her dream, she smiled, comforted by the presence she sensed but couldn't see.

But then, something changed. The touch became more real, more insistent, and she felt a warm breath against her neck. Her eyes snapped open, her heart racing as she gasped.

"Relax, Dove," Taehyung's voice whispered in the dark, pulling her closer with the hand he had tucked under her. His presence was no longer a dream—he was really there, in her bed, holding her.

"Tae..." she breathed, her mind spinning as she tried to process how he had gotten there.

"We're just sleeping," he murmured, his voice a low rumble in her ear, "or maybe not." He smirked, his lips brushing against hers that sent a shiver down her spine.

Eva's heart raced as Taehyung's lips met hers, and the kiss was more rough than she had anticipated. But her relief and happiness quickly turned into confusion when she felt something wet against her cheek.

Pulling back she turned on the lamp beside her bed, as she gasped in horror.

Taehyung's face was smeared with blood, his body was injured. The sight of him, covered in wounds, made her stomach churn.

She tried to pull away, panic rising as she struggled to process the scene in front of her. But Taehyung's grip was firm, and he hovered over her, pinning her hands above her head with one hand.

"Taehyung, Wait. You're hur-" she cried out, her voice trembling as she tried to move, but got muffled by his lips that came to hers again but now more intense.
