Eva

I woke up feeling refreshed, the morning sunlight filtering through the curtains casting a warm glow over the room. Stretching lazily, I relished in the peacefulness of the moment, content to linger in bed for just a few moments longer.

But before I could fully savor the calmness of the morning, my mom burst into my room with a sense of urgency that snapped me out of my daydream. "Eva, why aren't you ready yet?" she exclaimed, her voice tinged with frustration. "We have to leave for Daegu. We have to be there today cause Yoona's wedding is tomorrow, and you're still in bed!"

I blinked, momentarily disoriented by the sudden intrusion. "Oh, um, sorry Mom," I mumbled, scrambling to sit up and rub the sleep from my eyes. "I'll get ready right away."

But my mom wasn't finished yet. "And did you pack your bag?" she demanded, her brow furrowing in concern. "We can't afford to forget anything, especially with such a long journey ahead of us."

I felt a pang of guilt as I realized that I had completely forgotten to pack my bag, too caught up in the excitement of the upcoming wedding to remember the practicalities. "Um, no, Mom, I, uh, I forgot," I admitted sheepishly, feeling a flush of embarrassment heat my cheeks.

My mom sighed, shaking her head in exasperation. "Honestly, Eva, sometimes I wonder where your head is at," she muttered, though her tone softened with a hint of affection. "Hurry up and get ready, we don't want to be late."

With a nod, I scrambled out of bed, my mind racing as I hastily threw together the essentials for the trip. After that I turned my attention to choosing an outfit for the journey. Wanting to strike a balance between comfort and style, I opted for a pair of high-waisted jeans and a loose-fitting blouse, perfect for the long car ride ahead.

Slipping into my favorite sneakers, I quickly ran a brush through my hair and dabbed on a bit of lip gloss, wanting to look presentable for the occasion. With a final glance in the mirror to ensure everything was in place, I grabbed my bag and made my way downstairs to join my family.
