I wake up, to a loud noise.
I look over, to see Gavin's gone. I jump out of bed, and follow the sound. I end up in the kitchen, watching Gavin pick up cups he dropped.
" what are you doing" I say, causing him to jump.
" o-oh uh, I was just getting water. I assume you woke up from-"
" Yup, you dropping cups." I say, laughing a little.
" sorry" He says, smiling.
I walk over to him, and jump on the counter.
" I can't sleep anymore!" I say, with a burst of energy.
" Wanna go on a walk?"
" YES!"
I get off the counter, and run to the door.
" Hey- Quiet! Your brother is sleeping" Gavin says, trying to catch up to me.
" He'll be fine! Come on!" I say, grabbing his hand.
We start running around, and end up at the lake.
" Up for a midnight swim?" I say, turning to him.
" um no" He laughs.
" whyyyyy?"
" I don't know, maybe cause people pour chemicals into this lake?"
" what"
" yeah"
"b-but I've been swimming here since I was a baby....."
" well- it was nice knowing you!"
" STOPPPP"
" Let's just go back to your house."
" no I don't want too"
" why is that?" Gavin says, putting him hands on his hips.
" causeeee" I say, rocking around
" cause what?"
" i'm not tired." I say.
Right at that moment I yawned.
"shit" I whisper.
" Mhm, sUuReE" Gavin say.
He drags me back to my house.
As soon as we walk in, I check what time it is.
" 4am? It doesn't feel like 4am."
" yes it does. i'm so tired, and it doesn't help we have to get to school in like 4 hours."
" ok then, go to bed."
" not till you do!" He says, barely keeping his eyes open.
I sigh.
" fine, come on!" I say, walking him back to my room.
We lay down, and Gavin immediately drifts off.
I smile, and just look at him.
He's so pretty.
I start to close my eyes, when I heard his voice.
" coco?"
" hm?"
" can I do something? I meant to do it before."
" um ok, sure."
Right then, I felt his lips press against mine.
My stomach immediately fills with butterflies! I kiss him back, never wanting to let go of this feeling. He leans back, but I lean forward. I kiss him one last time, before leaning back. I look at him, to see him peacefully sleeping.
I grab my phone, and send Piper a text.
