Ch 6

Your pov

I wake up and get ready. Today is the day to impress the game makers.

Our mentor and max have already left so it's just me in the elevator. That is until clove gets in. "So Your serious about the whole liking me thing?" "Yeah, so do you like me?" "Yeah.." I say looking down. "Good." The elevator stops and we are here. "Good luck" she says and walks away. I walk to sit with max.

It's finally my turn to go up. I go in the room and say my name and start. I go up to the axes and pick one up throwing it and hitting the target. Their not very impressed.. hmm what now. A pig head.. I grab another axe and throw it at the pigs head cutting it off. They dismiss me and I leave.

It's time to now see our scores. I just know I got a 1 for what I did. I'm an idiot.

They show the scores and it's finally our turn. Maxs scores are shown first and it says 6. Not bad. My name shows. Expecting the worse I get 10. I got 10. Everyone is congratulating me and Max.

Tomorrow is the games.

I get up and go to the roof. I see clove there and sit next to her. "I'm going to find you during the games and we'll be a team." She says.. We'll be a team. "If I don't go to you at the Cornucopia don't worry about it. I'll find you." "Ok" "and also whatever you do don't step off the platform before the countdown stops. And don't go to the cornucopia it's a blood bath and I cant lose you." She can't lose me... "I'll get you an axe don't worry" she says looking at me.

She looks at me and than my lips and starts leaning in. We both lean in and close our eyes. Our lips touch. I didn't know I needed something like this, especially from clove, the girl who threatened me. After a few seconds we both pull apart. "Now I can't lose you." She says looking me in the eyes. She gets up and heads to the elevator "goodnight love" she says as the doors close
