Maria starts a fire and gives Bruno a blanket so he can warm up. Mother, Father, and Gretel are sitting in the living room with Bruno. Still in shock of what happened.
Father opens his mouth to say something but then get's interrupted by Mother
"Bruno I cannot describe how I am feeling right now. I WAS WORRIED SICK! I ALMOST THOUGHT I LOST MY BABY BOY!!BRUNO YOU ARE TO GO TO YOUR ROOM AND THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU HAVE DONE"
"But mother-" "BRUNO GO" Mother yells
Bruno goes upstairs to his room, obeying his mother
"Maria would you please give Bruno some fresh pair of clothes? Ugh I'm starting to have a headache"
"Yes madam" Maria says
Mother goes to pour herself one of her medicinal sherries. Father goes to his office quietly and shuts the door behind him. Gretel being alone in the living room decides to go upstairs in her room. As she walks past Bruno's room she sees him sitting there on his bed with his new clothes on, just staring into space.
"Hey Bruno"
"Hi Gretel" Bruno mutters under his breath clearly showing his annoyance towards his sister showing up
"Mind if I sit with you?"
Bruno nods indicating to her that she can come in, Gretel sits down next to him.
"So, do you want to tell me what happened?"
"Not really" Bruno says in annoyance
"Father and Mother were very worried about you. And I-" "I started crying" Gretel says out of embarrassment
"You started crying?" At this moment Bruno starts laughing hysterically, tears rolling down his cheeks
"BRUNO STOP IT! I was worried! Stop laughing!!", but Bruno was too amused by this and teasing her of crying.
