Ray had never thought about something like this. Something that might happen during his online interactions with Daniel LaRusso. Usually, after Ray left Boston with his family and arrived back in the Philippines, he would text Daniel about his updates and vice versa. They would call each other when needed. But in times, they don't interact that much because they live in different time zones.

Now, it came to that day as his best friend was calling him through video-chat. But wasn't he supposed to be asleep by now? With that, his lips stretched out an amazed, bright and happy smile as he pressed the green icon with a telephone facing diagonally upwards towards the right. And the first thing he saw after a few moments... was the face of Daniel LaRusso.

"Daniel!"

"Hey, Ray! Good to see you again, man!" Daniel said with a friendly smile on his face.

"It's good to see you, too, brother," Ray said.

"I just wanna check in to see how you're doing."

"I'm doing good. How are you?"

"I'm great. Thanks."

They both let out a mix of chuckle and laughter. Then, all of a sudden, someone among the table joined in. "Wait, is that Daniel LaRusso?"

These words caught the Daniels' attention. Even their friends on the tables. Diona and Rhea stopped what they're doing and turned to see where the sound came from. Ray also turned to where it came from. And that sound came from his left.

It was Ralpha. His eyes were full of enthusiasm and his lips stretched out a grin on his face. His mouth was open, but his teeth were put together.

"Yes, he is. You wanna see him?" Ray asked his son.

"Yeah!" he answered enthusiastically.

"Okay. Here you go," Ray said as he moved his phone to the left, just for Ralpha to see Daniel's face.
Ralpha gave him a wave. "Hey, Daniel! Good to finally meet you! Dad told me a lot about you guys are best friends with each other!"

Daniel let out a chuckle. "Yeah. Hey, Ralpha. So you must be Ray's son, right?"

"Yeah!"

"My boy," Ray said. As he said this, his left arm was wrapped around Ralpha's shoulders.

The trio let out a laugh.

"So what are you up to nowadays?" Daniel asked Ray.

"We're having lunch. In The King's Burger," Ray said. "We're participating in the Battle of the Bands Competition because we had a deal with those three bullies picking on our friend. If we win, they'll let her go, but if we lose... well, I'm not sure, but we know we can win the contest. We have formed a band called 'The D-Tribe' to spread good values and encourage others to become better people. So far, we're in the semifinals."

Daniel nodded in understanding. "Oh, that's nice. That's very nice."

"How's your work in LaRusso Auto Group?"

"It's fine. It's fine. Just having some struggles here with Tom Cole."

"Who?" Ray asked, his eyebrow raised in confusion. At the same time, Ralpha's face was also plastered with confusion.

Daniel swooped his hand in front of him. "We'll talk about that later."

Ray raised his eyebrows, his smile still plastered on his face.

"Anyways..." Daniel said. "Is Rhea here? I'd like to talk to her."

"Yeah, she's here," Ray said.

With that, his eye shifted away from his phone, then upwards towards his daughter. "Rhea! Rhea!"
