Sudden Love (Metonic)

Chapter 1

(Metal Sonic's POV)

"Metal! Get in here!" Dr. Eggman called.

I came out of my sleep mode and immediately walked out of my room, heading inside the maintenance room where Dr. Eggman sat in his chair, the supercomputer and control panel to it resting behind him while my creator had his legs crossed, and he had a rather excited look on his face, meaning he had come up with another idea to defeat my loathsome copy Sonic.

"What is it, Doctor?" I asked in the same robotic voice that I had as my Neo self.

"I have a mission for you, and that's to go out there, gain Sonic's trust, and find out what his weakness is." Dr. Eggman replied.

I crossed my arms in response. "We both know that his weakness is swimming in water because he has no ability to do so." I stated matter of factly.

"True, but we all have more than one weakness Metal, and I need you to find out what Sonic's are." Dr. Eggman replied.

"How would I do that?" I asked, referring to the fact that Sonic would attack me on sight.

Dr. Eggman lifted a finger as a way of him telling me to hold on a second before he reached into his back pocket, pulling out what looked like a USB drive.

"Put this into your hard drive." Dr. Eggman ordered rather excitedly.

I obeyed and took the USB drive before putting it into my hard drive located in the back of my head, somewhat wondering how that could help me with my mission. A few moments passed and when I felt like I was about to shut down, I glanced down at my hand, seeing it turning into a gloved Mobian hand, my arm turning into this sky blue color, this weird feeling rushing through my head and I placed my hands on my head, trying to restrain myself before my vision darkened and everything was dead silent.

"Metal?" I could hear Dr. Eggman's voice, he sounded rather worried.

Instead of coming online like I'm used to doing, I woke up, everything no longer in a slight hazy red color, and none of my internal scanners were working. I felt so strange and made a sound of pain, surprising myself. Why did I sound like Sonic?

"You alright?" Dr. Eggman asked, his face coming into view.

"What happened?" I asked, once again sounding a lot like Sonic, but my new voice sounded so sinister, like anyone who gets scared easily would be trembling at the sound of it.

"You passed out the moment the USB began its work." Dr. Eggman replied.

"What work?" I questioned and sat up, feeling like I had just been beaten by Sonic.

"Take a look." Dr. Eggman replied, glancing over to the side.

I followed his gaze and felt something in my chest hitting it really hard. In the mirror was myself, only instead of being a robot, I was now a Mobian sky blue hedgehog with dark peach in my ears, on my mouth, and on my chest, my arms sky blue like the rest of me while my quills were still the same as they were when I was still a robot, white gloves covering my hands and the boots I was wearing matching the same design as my robotic feet were, the sclera of my eyes white instead of black and I had normal ruby red eyes that looked both attractive and intimidating, just seeing myself like this leaving my mouth agape.

"How did you accomplish this?" I asked, standing up from the table I woke up on and stepped closer to the mirror, carefully examining myself.

"I had a sample of the nanobots you used to disguise yourself as me and modified it to turn you into a Mobian hedgehog, and from the looks of it, they were powerful enough to give you emotions, organs, and everything else a living being has in their body." Dr. Eggman answered. "So in a way, you have been reborn as a Mobian hedgehog." He informed as I let a small smile curl on my lips, admiring at how good of a job he did.
