(Metal Sonic's POV)

After jumping down from the vent, Sonic and I continued wandering almost aimlessly around this yellow maze, soon spotting these arrows on the walls and followed them out of curiosity until we saw the drawing of a window, a pair of eyes that looked like they were staring into my soul, and more writings on the wall.

"Hold still, don't move." I read out loud.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Sonic asked me.

Hearing the sound of an inhuman huff, I turned around, adrenaline rushing in me when I spotted this thing that looked like it was made entirely out of wires, it's head being the kind of speaker on the wall that a grocery store would have, the creature standing there as Sonic turned around, his eyes widening in fear as though a tsunami the size of a building was coming after us.

"What in the world is that?" Sonic asked in a terrified and quiet tone.

"No idea, but whatever you do, don't engage it." I replied to him.

Although as if the universe despised us, the monster seemingly glanced at me and Sonic and roared, charging after us. Sonic and I immediately dodged the monster when it swiped at us and kept running, staying close to avoid getting separated and constantly turning in this maze. I don't know how or when Eggman had a monster like that here, but I for sure didn't want to mess with it. What felt like an eternity of me and Sonic running and the monster roaring as it chased after us passed until he and I halted, seeing this square-shaped hole in the floor. I glanced back, seeing the monster was right behind us somehow and quickly grabbed Sonic's wrist and jumped in the hole, both of us landing in the bottom with a grunt. I glanced up, seeing that the monster didn't follow us down and everything minus my heart pounding loudly and the constant buzzing silent.

"Ouch..." Sonic groaned, sitting up and rubbing his head.

"Sorry about that." I apologized, feeling bad he got hurt.

"It's fine, I'm sure the torture that thing had planned for us would have been worse if it was able to catch us." Sonic replied.

The two of us stood up and walked off, both being more cautious now in case there would have been anymore surprises and wandered around the new area, soon seeing three options. On the far right was a blue hallway while next to it was a staircase and on the left was a white hallway. I glanced at the three options, then at Sonic, seeing him glancing at them like he was trying to decide which one to go for before wincing and holding his head.

"Are you sure you're alright?" I asked him in worry.

"Yeah, let's just focus on finding a way out of here." Sonic replied.

"Which option should we go for though?" I asked, glancing back at the three options.

"Definitely not the stairs, they might lead us straight back to that thing." Sonic replied.

"White hallway it is then." I said, both of us now walking towards it.

The walls were now white as snow as Sonic and I walked through the hallway and I hoped that there weren't going to be anymore monsters like the one that just chased us around. As I glanced at Sonic, my heart began pounding in a way it never has before, like I was being drawn to him. I dismissed it as just me being concerned for him considering he did hit his head earlier, but right now he seemed fine. As we kept walking, I noticed a window. An actual window, in the wall. I walked over to it, and looked into it, my blood running cold as I saw that there were multiple other windows that showed multiple rooms, and smack dab in the middle was a courtyard of some sort, no doors leading in it from what I could see.
