(Metal Sonic's POV)

"What the heck was that pushing me over thing about? I was only helping you keep your balance so that you didn't fall on me again." Sonic lectured as we walked inside this ice cream shop.

"Looked more like you were trying to rub noses with me like a pervert." I replied.

"I am not a pervert!" Sonic yelled sternly as he grabbed my arm suddenly.

I winced a bit from how tight his grip was, and found myself frozen as I glanced at Sonic, who looked a bit intimidating with this angry look on his face, looking like I had stepped on a chili dog right in front of him or just tried to kill one of his friends, and the ice cream place we now stood in didn't have many people, but they seemed too focused on their food and didn't notice or hear us somehow.

"Besides, you were the one who bumped into me, all I did was make sure you didn't fall and hurt yourself." Sonic told me, his anger not leaving him.

"Alright." I replied, tugging my arm to get him to let go.

Sonic got the message and let go before he walked over to a booth near the entrance and sat down, putting his elbow atop the table and resting his chin on the palm of his hand. I reluctantly went over and sat down across from him, earning Sonic to glance at me for a second before looking back outside the window. Just my luck, I ticked Sonic off.

"Your arm alright?" Sonic asked after a couple minutes, sounding like he was now calming down a bit.

"I've been through worse." I replied, averting my gaze from him as a waitress came up to us.

"What would you two gentlemen like?" The waitress asked, sounding rather young, possibly in her twenties.

"Oreo, and make sure it's in a bowl rather than a cone." Sonic replied.

"Just vanilla, mine in a bowl too." I said to her.

The waitress wrote down our order and walked away inside the kitchen across from the booth Sonic and I were at. I rubbed my arm that Sonic had grabbed earlier, it still hurt a bit, but the pain seemed to be fading, and I was still surprised that Sonic did something like that, usually Shadow would have done that if someone really made him angry. A couple minutes passed and the waitress came back with our orders and set the bowls down before walking away again. Feeling too hungry since I forgot to eat this morning, I began eating my ice cream like it would walk away, soon feeling like my head was freezing over and groaned, rubbing my temples in desperation to make it go away fast.

"Darn cold treat..." I grumbled, only to hear Sonic chuckling and glared at him in annoyance.

"First time of having a brain freeze I see." Sonic said to me.

"I can give you one." I replied and placed my hand on the bowl, warning Sonic that I'll throw my ice cream at him.

"I was just joking." Sonic replied with his cheeky smile, his hands up in surrender.

I simply glared at Sonic in response, his smile faltering into a frown like he was realizing that I was still mad at him.

"You're so immature sometimes..." I sighed, annoyed and continued eating my food.

"You met me yesterday and you're already acting like this?" Sonic questioned in irritation.

"As much as I appreciate you agreeing to help me with my speed, I wasn't exactly raised to ever goof off, my father always said the same thing, 'If you don't stay serious, you'll never be taken seriously'." I replied to Sonic.

"There's more to life than just seriousness, Maralis, sure it's good to never goof off in unnecessary times, but having a little bit of humor never hurts, you laughed at my jokes last night." Sonic replied to me.
