You've got to move. The only way you'll be able to help yourself is if you move.

It didn't matter how many times I chanted the same thing over and over, it wasn't going to change the fact that leaving the warmth of my bed at this point wouldn't feel like a good idea.

My whole body tensed as another wave of cramps crumpled my uterus. Beads of sweat dotted across my forehead, yet I didn't feel hot. Using all the energy I could master, I pushed myself into a sitting position. My head felt massive on my shoulders, keeping it straight was a project itself. The slightest movement felt like it could topple me over.

How was I going to make it all the way to the shops if just sitting up was this hard? It was a good question, one I decided to ignore as I slipped one foot onto the floor and then the other. Rising on shaky legs, I stumped over to my wardrobe. Threw Chase's oversized hoodie on top of my PJ's and comfortable fluffy socks.

I hope the shops around here aren't too strict on clothes, because my check pj bottoms were not well disguised. The effort to change seemed to be too large a task to complete. Instead I grabbed my purse and recharged phone, and using the walls for support, found my way to the entrance hall. Every now and then I'd have to stop, and cling to the wall as the crumps rocked my body.

This monthly ritual made me believe I'd done something horrid in a past life. Nobody deserved to go through this. The pill my doctors had put me on only sometimes took the edge off. Today wasn't one of those days.

My hand opened the front door allowing me the slightest of fresh breeze to hit my face before it was slammed shut again. I pulled with as much force my weakened state could take until I noticed the hand holding the door shut.

After last night I had expected to see Dean rather than a sheepish looking Conor.

"Miss, you can't leave without security." His blunt tone did nothing for my mood.

"Jake and I left yesterday without it, what's changed?"

"Dean doesn't want either of you leaving again without proper cover." So Dean was putting me on housebound? I'd have to talk to him about this later, as I wasn't sure how long before blood would be creeping down my leg.

"Fuck Dean. I'm going to be about five minutes max. If I need security so bad can't you just drive me?" Conor was surprised by my suggestion, a frown appeared across his face as he considered the idea.

I wanted to scream at him to hurry up but knew that wouldn't help my case.

"I'm not authorised to do so." He finally said.

"Well get someone who is." I spat through gritted teeth.

Another cramp hit my body, I clutched the door handle wanting to be anywhere but here.

When it finally passed, Conor actually looked slightly concerned.

"It will take at least a day or two." He sounded panicked. Good maybe he'd actually do something then.

"A day or two? I just want to go to the fucking shop!" I shouted, causing Conor to flinch.

Ignoring Conor and Dean's stupid rules I reached for the handle the second time. Again Conor stopped me. Tears came rushing to my eyes. Fucking periods, I never cried yet on my period my eyes seemed to think I had to water the entire rainforest.

I pulled the door more forcefully, taking Conor by surprise when the door opened briefly, then slammed shut. He didn't appreciate my disregard for the rules, I wasn't winning any favours here.

"I have the authorization to physically stop you from leaving." Conor spoke deadpan. I'd lost whatever chance I had.

"So you can do that, but you can't drive me five minutes down the road." Conor stood taller, sticking rigidly to the rules
