Song:- Someone to Stay.

********************************

Morning.

A new beginning for the world outside. But for Anaya, it was just another extension of yesterday's storm.

She sat in silence, eyes fixed on the white ceiling. Her hands trembled slightly, a dull ache sitting in her chest like a weight that wouldn't lift. Her head throbbed—partly from the sleepless night, partly from the unanswered questions roaring inside her.

So many truths had come crashing down.

So many lies had shattered.

And in the middle of it all stood him.

Arjun Rajvansh.

A man with so many masks that she no longer knew which version of him was real. The one who whispered I'm sorry into her skin with trembling hands... or the one who destroyed her in front of a crowd without blinking.

She remembered the fury in his voice...
Krish isn't Udhav Singh Rajvansh's child...

Her fingers clenched the bedsheet.

She hated how even now, his voice still echoed in her head.

Even now, his eyes still haunted her.

Even now... her heart still betrayed her.

The day passed with Aryana clinging to her hand, smiling weakly through her recovery, and Anaya playing the part of a devoted mother. She laughed, she kissed her cheeks, she braided her hair—but inside, she was spiraling.

And he hadn't shown up once.

But his absence was a presence of its own.

She didn't need to see him to know he was watching. Arjun Rajvansh didn't vanish. He lurked.

Like a shadow you couldn't shake off.

She hadn't seen him for two whole days. Not at the penthouse, not in the hospital halls. But Aryana had asked about him, again and again—Where is Papa? Why hasn't he come to read me a story?

No one had answers. Not even her.

Because truthfully, she was the one avoiding him.

Avoiding Krish, too. Because looking at him filled her with a guilt that clawed her throat raw. Knowing the truth of his identity, and choosing not to tell him, was eating her alive.

He deserved to know.

But... if Arjun was lying? If this was another one of his sick mind games?

She buried her face in her hands.

Why does this man never let me live in peace...

It was late. Past 11.

She opened the door quietly and stepped into the dark, empty hall of the Rajvansh penthouse.

She sighed in relief.

Dim lights glowed faintly on the walls. Everyone must have gone to bed.

Silence.

But then—

"Are you avoiding us all on purpose?"

She jumped, clutching her chest.

From the shadows of the living room, Krish stood, arms crossed, eyes concerned. His laptop lay forgotten on the coffee table.

Her body tensed.
