It's been 4 days since Alex apologized to me, and everything has been going pretty well! He's not mean to me anymore and we get along pretty decently. Conner still acts weird whenever I bring up Alex so I try not to mention him around Conner anymore.

When I called Dorothy that night, she was very interested in my interactions with both boys, saying that she doesn't have anything interesting in her life so she loves it when I tell her stuff that happens to me.

Anyways, I'm at my first rehearsal for Reed right now. There are two other girls who also got casted for that part and they seem pretty nice so far. They're names and are Kayla and Lizzie.

"Alright." Said director Amy loudly, stopping our music. "That was a great first rehearsal! Izzy, make sure to keep your shoulders down for that cabriole. Kayla, remember to keep your legs straight when turning. And Lizzie, relax your hands more."

We all nodded, breathing heavily and grabbed our waters.

"Now I know there's been some confusion about whether or not you guys will be dancing with a partner or not." She began.

We all looked at her curiously.

I hope we do get to dance with a partner! It seems so fun! To be lifted in the air and twirled around!

"I've decided that you will be dancing with partners!"

"Yes!" I whispered, pumping my fist in the air.

"However..."

The three of us looked at her sharply.

"We have two boys for partnering. Based on their height, they will be partnered with Kayla and Lizzie."

Kayla and Lizzie exchanged a concerned look.  I looked at Amy in shock, my excitement dropping like a rock.

     I don't... I don't get a partner?...

Amy looked at me and her eyes widened with a little bit of panic. "Not that Izzy won't be getting a partner." She said quickly. "I will be sending out an email about this and posting it on social media so we can find you a partner to dance with. And we will find you one ok. So don't think you're going to be left out."

"Ok." I said quietly, looking down.

Amy stood up from her stool and walked over to me. I looked up at her, trying not to look devastated.

I know she said she'd find me a partner, but... what if she doesn't?

"You can help find yourself a partner as well, Izzy. He just has to be around your age and about the same height as you."

Kayla nodded to me, her brown eyes bright with determination. "Yeah. We'll help you find a partner too!"

     "Yeah!" Lizzie chimed in.

I smiled at them gratefully. "Thanks guys."

Amy smiled at us warmly. "Alright, that's it for today girls. Great job! Enjoy the rest of your Saturday!"

With that, the three of us clomped up the stairs in our pointe shoes to the loft and went home.

As soon as I got home, I called Dorothy and told her about my partnering predicament.

"Wow." She said. "That seems crazy."

     "I know."

We both just sat in silence on the phone, lost in thought. I looked around my room. It wasn't huge but it wasn't super small either. I was sitting on my loft bed, which was on the far wall from the door and next to my window. I had my LED lights on blue which contrasted greatly with my rooms normal sheen of color, which was pink. I had a desk placed at the end of my bed and a hang out place with a bunch of books and bean bags underneath my bed. Next to my door on the right was my bookcase which didn't have that many books on it because they were mostly under my bed. Instead the bookcase was filled mostly with pictures. On the wall across from my bed was my closet and on it's right, my dresser. All of my furniture in my room was white, even the windowsill.
