When the Duo Falls

While Kai's life was simple when his parent's were around, it was inevitably difficult once they so called 'abandoned' him and his 3 year old sister. All throughout out his childhood Kai was extremely poor and often lived in unhealthy conditions, yet he did everything he could to give Nya the life she deserved, he would work about 3 retail jobs to give Nya the primary benefits of an average child. But not once did he get something for his own satisfaction, it was all for Nya.
A dream Kai replayed in his mind repeatedly was to be a hero, a ninja. He had read books on them at the Library once and had fallen in love with the topic ever since, yet he didn't discover his elemental power yet, so he was unsure if he would ever reach that dream. His sister Nya followed his dreams and found interest in being a ninja too, when the thought was brung to Kai, he instantly set to work, searching the media for a sensei capable to train 2 determined children.
After days of scattering through the internet, Kai was unlucky with his finds and decided to just research Spinjitzu and to prioritize Nya with private training sessions. So there he went,

While Kai was working away, Nya being the 10 year old she was, would spend most of her time exploring or watching people train from afar. She never liked or even considered playing with any kids or dressing up for boys. She didn't care for how society was, she wanted to go against it. Nya was a free spirit and holding her back would only leave you with a black eye, nothing could hold her back. Even if Kai dearly wished for Nya to hang out with other kids, he would still give her the freedom she wanted, he understood her nature, She got it from their mother, yet he never admitted it openly.

    The 2 of them were now teens, Kai was 19 and Nya was a sweet 17. Now that they had matured, Kai believed it was time for them to go out and fight for Ninjago. They had often interfered with villains and won but still were unnoticed, the 2 held tons of raw talent and they knew it. Yet the public did not, so the 2 were determined to prove they were capable of assisting the city when in need. Which is why they were going against the overlord...Sorta.

The Smith siblings sat hiden on the rooftop of borg-tower, from below they observed as the 'official' ninja fought the overlord. At the sight they noticed that their team was failing, so Nya was considerate to step in. Yet was blocked by her brother's protests, which only allowed the temptation to grow. The battle passed on for awhile before the Nindroid stepped in, he held his hands onto the overlords spider-like mech, he had done amazing damage yet was shortcircuiting. It was clear as day that the overlord would make it if no one was to step up, Nya formed water in through her hands, it swirled gracefully. "NYA WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Kai screamed, stepping towards his sister. "Helping." Nya smiled before jumping down borg tower hands forming a small hurricane, "NO!" Kai yelped,

The nindroid noticed the yelp and gazed up to see a water elemental forming a hurricane to the Overlord while falling midair, once she was close enough he let go  and formed an ice slide to save the girl. "ZANE!" Jay yelled, "we must go!" Master Wu said, opening the manhole to the sewers. The ninja quickly escaped threw there as an explosion erupted through Ninjago City, the ninja had won...
But at what costs..?

Throughout the whole scene, big brother sat leaning over the edge watching his whole world explode into millions. His only family, his baby sister had sacrificed herself for all of ninjago. Why did it have to be her..?  Kai didn't know the slightest bit about the ninja since he had no electronics, yet he hated gravily. He felt as if it was THEIR fault Nya had sacrificed herself. To make sure the longed 'heroes' of ninjago lived on, to insure their legacy goes onward. Well Kai was pissed, he still wanted to be a ninja. But not like them, he was going to different.

For Nya..
