When the Duo Falls

It was now morning, all competitors were in the cafeteria like room, some of Chen's guards served everyone their breakfast before sending them off. The ninja kept themselves close silently whispering to eachother, last night they had snuck into Chen's secret ceremony and they were quite traumatized at what they saw. Now the team was on a mission to recruit every competitor and create a riot, taking down Chen and all whom follow him. Yet that would be difficult, and the ninja were aware of that.

Kai sat at a table with Skylor, Tox, and Shade. The 4 talked quite well despite their differences, they all shared their stories. And they agreed on 1 thing, the ninja. All of them hated the ninja for their own reasons, forming them into a stone cold team.

"I don't know guys...I agree on the whole
recruiting thing, but it seems to me that alot of people don't intend any good on us..Especially that brunette kid." Cole muttered, eyeing said boy from a comfortable distance. "Cole is correct," Garmadon agreed, "it seems quite clear to me that the boy holds a deep grudge for you all." Lloyd tapped his finger on the table, he was in deep thought at the moment. "I don't get why! We've never harmed anyone innocent and neither have we ever seen him! What's his deal?!" Jay yelled, pointing at the boy.

Unfortunately, his outburst had caught attention of the group, Kai gave a scrunched up look before slamming his hands on the table, "Why the fuck are you pointing at me?! If you have something to say about me say it to my god damn face!" He shouted, Lloyd gave Jay a glare before moving towards the brunette, "Hey were just talking okay? No need to get up in his face." Lloyd smiled awkwardly, waving his hands in retreat. "YEAH! TALKING ABOUT ME!" Kai chimed in, "Hey hey hey! What's your deal man? How come you hate us so much?" Cole asked softly, showing no sign of anger, "You guys wouldn't understand! You can rebuild your fucking friend! BUT I CAN'T REBUILD MY SISTER!" Kai screamed before launching a fireball at Jay, Jay yelped ducking barely missing the ball at fire that aimed at his head. "We don't even know you?! Also how do you know about him?!" Lloyd stuttered, things were getting interesting, what did he mean? And how did he know about Zane? No one there witnessed what happened to Zane, right?

Kai just scoffed and stormed off, not wanting to reveal anymore secerts. They might use them against him in future battles, and he can't possibly risk that, for Nya's sake.
Once Kai left the ninja were left with petrifiying glares. People around whispered and gossiped as the group slowly crept away from the deeming crowd.
