Kai arrived to the docks quite early, when his sister was brought up in the paper, he was presice to not waste any valuable time. A large number of people followed behind him shortly after, all seemed to possess a different elemental deed. Kai paid no mind to them, that is until a specific group approached...The ninja, Kai scoffed and turned away, no way was he going to waste eye contact with such a pitiful excuse of heros. Suddenly a boat approached the docks, a man with dark raven hair put back in a ponytail stood professionally at the entrance. Kai had heard of him, his name was Clouse and he had studied dark magic for some time, he now performed it himself.

2 of his minions placed down a thick plank allowing the elemental masters to board, Kai road aboard quickly. Overhearing the conversation of the stowaway, Garmadon. Once more Kai scoffed at the group and sat himself on one of the barrels as Garmadon carried on the introductions of the other elemental Masters, yet when one of the ninja asked about Kai, Garmadon responded with a shrug. He was quite unsure on what element the boy possessed, Kai wore no sign to giving it away.

Kai's POV
I sat myself on a barrel distanced from anyone, I wasn't in the mood for socializing and did not want to go anywhere near those idiots. Though I stayed closed off, I made sure to keep my eye out for any trickery or mishave. I wasn't having any more trouble than already possible, I was going to get up until I recognized a familiar face. SKYLOR?

3rd Person POV
Kai's expression switched like a snap of a finger, it wasn't something sudden to see your best friend on a dangerous trip at the same time, in the same place. Kai advanced towards his friend until he was right behind her, "what are you doing here?!" Kai yelled, Skylor jumped and punched Kai in the jaw unsure on who was behind her, Kai fell back. Skylor peared down and recognized the brunette, "Kai?!" Skylor whispered, helping him up, "That's me, and damn you hit hard missy." Kai groaned rubbing his jaw, trying to sooth the pain. "Omg Kai I'm so sorry I didn't know it was you! And what are you doing here?" The red head whispered once more, dragging him away from the nosy crowd. "It's fine, and I should be asking you the same thing." Kai stated, crossing his arms at Skylor. "Family business ig.." Skylor said, "same." Kai replied, Skylor sighed. She was unable to keep secrets from Kai, he was like the  brother she never had and it was destroy her if her crazed father were to even set a finger on him, so out of her pitiful guilt. She spilled all the tea in the kettle.

"WHAT??!" Kai screamed, clenching Skylor's shoulders, Skylor cupped her hand on Kai's mouth and whispered, "I know this is really bad but you have to play along! It's the only way you'll get out of here alive!" Skylor begged, Kai sighed and nodded. He was going to follow Skylor's wishes, but also go along with his own, finding Nya. The 2 stepped back into the crowd as they had finally reached their destination. Kai made sure to keep attentive to his surroundings, he could feel the bad burning inside the following building. Yet kept on with his journey, once inside the building, Master Chen explained the tournaments and had his kabuki escort each elemental to their assigned rooms. Luckily Skylor's room was directly next to Kai, though the electric elemental was on top of Kai. Which made Kai slightly dread his decision of going, yet he pushed that thought aside. Nya was top priority right now, not some lowlife ninja team.

Night rose quickly as Kai laid in his bed, he tried forcing his eyes awake, yet to his misfortune, exhaustion took over. And he dreamed off into a warm slumber.
