"I need to be entertained while I work." Kai said as Damon stopped telling the story, "Hell story, please."

"Remind me not to kill him." Damon said as he pinched the bridge of his nose in annoyance.

"Maybe telling him your story will take your mind off of it." Bonnie said.

"He even asked nicely." Lexi added.

"Whose side are you on?" Damon said to them

"The side where we get to go home." Lexi said.

"Fine" Damon huffed before he continued the story.

----------------------------------------------------------

"Perfect" Damon said, "Our saviour is insane and narcoleptic." After telling his story for a few moments, Damon stopped as Kai appeared to have fallen asleep.

"No, no, no, I'm awake." Kai said, his eyes still closed, "Let me guess, you killed the pregnant woman."

"Shut up, Kai. You weren't listening." Damon said

"I was listening, in my sleep." Kai said, "You were hanging out with your nephew Zach, who you call Uncle Zach because that's not confusing. Plus pregnant lady Gail who had a big bull's-eye on her chest. Got it."

"Damn" Lexi muttered, "Double homicide."

"Tell me you didn't kill a pregnant woman." Bonnie said.

"Well, that's totally what happened." Kai said, "Why else would today be his personal hell?" As Damon bobbed down so that he was level with Kai, he spoke again, "Here we go"

"The only reason you're alive is because you could get us out and you could help us but it turns out that you don't have answers. You're just a man-child with jam on your fingers." Damon snapped, dropping the now empty jar of jam to the floor.

"Okay." Kai said. "To get home we'll harness the power of the eclipse using a mystical relic. It is called an ascendant. And it looks like this, Damon." Kai said, showing the item we had created with the objects Bonnie had gathered. "The last time we had it was in the Pacific Northwest. Oregon."

"Who the hell is we?" Lexi asked.

"It belonged to my family. So here's a little blood to get you started." Kai said, pricking his finger with the pocket knife, "Now all we need is a locator spell to pinpoint it's whereabouts." Kai then stood up.

"You think you can find our ticket out of here, Bon bon?" Damon asked.

"Hell yeah" She said.

----------------------------------------------------------

As Bonnie tried to do the locator spell, Damon and Lexi sat outside, throwing paper aeroplanes made from their old newspaper. After a moment, Damon and Lexi came back inside for more paper.

"It doesn't feel right. Maybe I need a bigger map." Bonnie said.

"Maybe you're just out of practice and you suck at magic now." Damon said.

"Damon." Lexi scolded. "Do you want me to try?" Lexi asked Bonnie. Bonnie nodded gratefully, not liking the feeling of her failing spell. Lexi then swapped positions with Bonnie and began chanting before Damon interrupted her.

"Isn't it a bad sign that Bonnie's magic isn't working? I mean, don't we need it to get out of here?" Damon said, taking Lexi's focus from the spell. Lexi huffed before glaring at him, clearly pissed off.

"Ignore him, Lex" Kai said, "Pretend he's a white noise machine. That's how I used to tune out my siblings." Kai then began to move around the table towards Lexi. "I grew up with a ton of little sisters and brothers. You know, all of them constantly yammering." Kai said as he stood next to her, his arm faintly slung around her waist as he turned her hips back towards the map. "But it, uh, taught me how to focus." Kai flirted causing his warm breath to burn across her skin like a wild fire.

Lexi couldn't tell whether they were soulmates or whether she was just being touched by someone who wasn't one of her best friends for the first time in 4 months but holy shit did it feel good. As Lexi raised her eyes to meet his, she realised just how much taller he was than her at this angle.

I- Uh- oh-

wow.

"Easy there, big brother." Damon said, snapping both of their attentions away from each other, "She doesn't know you. At least by her a drink."

"Damon get out." Lexi said, "You are very clearly not helping." Damon huffed before he wandered down the main hallway.

As Lexi began to chant again, the blood which was splattered on the map began to move toward Virginia. Lexi furrowed her eyebrows at the sight.

"The blood is moving towards Virginia. That can't be right." Kai said.

"It can." Lexi said, "The spell is working and it's showing me Mystic Falls." As Lexi began to analyse the feeling the her magic was bringing she turned to Kai and pieced together what was happening before she said "It feels so close."

Lexi then raised her hand to feel Kai's jacket pocket from the outside causing the candles in the room to increase in volume. Through the fabric of Kai's jacket, Lexi could feel the edges of the ascendant. She then tilted her head at him.

"And that would be?" Lexi prompted, her hand resting on the ascendant.

"Oh look at that" Kai said as he pulled the ascendant from his pocket, "It's the ascendant."

"That's the ascendant?" Bonnie asked.

"The one and only" Kai clarified, instantly missing the sensation as Lexi dropped her hand from his jacket.

"Thanks for the mind games, jackass." Damon said as he re-entered the room.

"It was just a test for Bonnie." Kai said, "Which admittedly she didn't really pass but oh well. At least she could actually tell that something was wrong so I think she is ready for the spell. Pack your bags. We are going home."

Ohhhh yayyyy

Home to my five mates with my new mate Kai.

How fun does that sound?

I am really looking forward to-

Wait a damn minute...

Did I just accept Kai as my mate?

No no no no no.

As Lexi raised her eyes to see Kai, his eyes were already on her. Watching her.

Damn it.

Bonnie and Damon then returned to their rooms and began packing whatever items they wanted to bring back. Lexi hesitated before going to the spare room she had been using to store her things. Upon entering her room, she left the door open as she new she wouldn't be in there for long. As soon as Lexi reached the closet of the room, the door to her bedroom was closed. Lexi didn't need to turn around to know who it was.

"What do you want?" Lexi asked as she began to place some of the items she had found in her old home in her chosen bag.

"What is happening between us?" Kai blurted out.

"What do you mean, Kai?" Lexi asked, hoping that playing dumb would get her out of this situation.

"Turn around and look me in the eyes" Kai requested.

He knows

Lexi reluctantly turned around and met his eyes. A warm feeling flurried throughout Kai's body at the contact. Kai then slowly approached her as Lexi backed away at the same pace. Lexi unknowingly stumbled into the wall behind her. She then met Kai's eyes. They were dark with an emotion Lexi frequently saw in the Mikaelson's eyes, but could never place.

Once Kai was standing directly in front of her, he ran his eyes up and down her figure in a predatorial manner. His gaze sent chills throughout her body as her knees threatened to buckle. He then ran his tongue over his bottom lip, drawing Lexi's eyes.

The proximity of their bodies caused both of them to begin nervously panting, waiting to see what move the other would make. After a moment, Kai released the tension by fluttering his eyes closed and resting his forehead on hers before speaking.

"What are you doing to me?"
