More Than Just a Building

Breathe darling breath, cate said softly. The first baby had been born and surprise it was a GIRL! The midwife came in barging thru the door apologizing for not responding and being late. Cate and y/n assured the midwife that it was okay. Cate moves to stand next to y/n as she gets ready to push the next baby out. Cate I love you so much, but gosh I hate you so much right now. This is kinda your fault, y/n sighs. What my fault!?, Cate laughed. Yes because if it weren't for you being so perfect I don't think I would've ever chosen to do this, she says. Y/n starts to feel a much stronger contraction meaning the next baby is on its way. y/n pushes and pushes and cate comforts y/n by dabbing a wet towel on her forehead and kissing her gently on the head and saying, I love you so much and you are doing great my love. minutes later another baby girl was born and cate cries as she sees tears falling down y/n eyes. Two beautiful angels were born on November 15, Alessandra Blanchett born at 9:45 am and Andrea Blanchett born at 10 am. Cate and y/n laid in bed each holding one of the girls. Cate starts to tear up and looks at y/n deeply and says i love you darling and thank you for giving me these beautiful angels and thank you for being here with me, i love you. i love you more cate, y/n says giving cate a quick kiss. then as the midwife and her assistants start to take care of the babies and are doing the checkup cate runs to see the babies and admire them. but then something awful happens..

Cate walks back to check on y/n and sees her head laid down. y/n baby are you alright? Y/N! Y/N!! Cate screams and grabs y/n shaking her seeing y/n is not responding. the midwife runs to y/n checking and finds that she is bleeding out. immediately they call the ambulance and cate starts to break down whispering come back, please come back , the girls and i need you. then in the background you hear the sirens and the medics take y/n and the babies to the hospital. cate follows the ambulance with her car and arrives at the hospital. the doctor checks y/n and doesn't allow anyone in the room. A few hours later, Cate is asleep sitting down in the nursery of the hospital watching over the twins. then the doctor comes in and wakes cate up and says that y/n had bled out a lot due to the fact that the twins had a big impact to her body and sometimes but very rarely women bleed out and usually they don't make it. Cate started to panic and then the doctor tells her that she is very lucky because her wife is one of the few that survived and that she can go to see y/n now. Cate gets up quickly and walks as fast as she can and sees y/n asleep in bed. cate walks towards y/n and kisses her gently on the lips and feels a quick peck and smile back. cate lifts her head and sees y/n smiling looking directly into cates eyes. hello darling. i missed you so much you have no idea, cate cries. oh baby you have no idea how scared i was, i missed you, y/n says. never ever leave again y/n. i don't think i would survive, cate says leaning her forehead against y/n. y/n pulls cate into a kiss and later that week go back home to recover with the twins...

Two Years later

Happy Birthday Andrea and Alessandra, everyone cheered. It was now the twins second birthday and everyone was celebrating them. how the time flies, cate thought. Cate, y/n and the babies moved back to New York permanently and bought a penthouse in Manhattan a few weeks after the hospital incident. Cate has recently started a new movie and luckily is being filmed in New York so it is convenient for her and y/n to be with the twins. Y/n has also started her own architects company and is now one of the firsts companies to be all women staffed. Cate and Y/n have so much success and are actually expecting again and y/n is due anytime now, but this time they know the gender. A few weeks later y/n goes into labor and her and cate are in the hospital. Hours later, a blue eyed and blonde baby boy was born and named Luca Blanchett. Cate and y/n finally had the family they always dreamed of and were happy that they get to do it all together in love and admired that it was also more than just a building.
