"Hopper, please don't leave me! Don't be like Lonnie.", Joyce yells as she's chasing her soulmate outside to his car until he stops and turns around. "How dare you compare me to that scumbag? I'm a way better man than he ever was!", Hopper yells at her and she tells him "You're leaving me just like he did even though you promised you wouldn't!". For a second, everything just stops. For so long, neither of the two said a word, no sounds until Hopper breaks down and Joyce immediately hugs him. Hopper knew Joyce loved him. She loved him more than she could ever love herself. "What am I going to do, I can't raise this child all by myself?", she asked him and he kissed her. "You're not going to take care of our child by yourself. I'll be by your side until the day I die, even though I'm a terrible father.", Hopper tells Joyce and she gets confused. "Wait, I thought you were leaving me?", she said making a random face and he holds her hands. "I will never in my lifetime leave you unless it's something terrible, I was trying to think things over because..this is embarrassing to say, but I'm scared that I'll turn into a bad, drunk like how my dad was or off my meds like my mom.", Hopper says as he puts both of her hands on his face and touches her stomach. "Hopper, don't you think I'm scared too? I'm scared to bring a baby into this world, a world with monsters and what if something bad happens to me? Y'know I'm a very negative person, but like what if Vecna does something to me and I just.. give up?", Joyce asked with tearful eyes and suddenly, Hopper grabs her wrists telling her "I promise you that nobody will hurt you, not even Vecna. But just in case he does something to you, think of what Lucas does to save Max. All we have to do is play your favorite song and you have to think of one of your happiest memories. Also, nothing is going to happen to you as long as I'm with you because once you start floating up in the air again like last time, I'm playing 'Maniac' by Michael Sembello, and I don't care what you say. I know he's your celebrity crush because I overheard Max and El making fun of you at their sleepover in my cabin.", the two chuckle and continue hugging.
