As I stare at your coffee, melting,
I wonder if you would still be coming,
Coming to save this priceless something,
This 'love' thing they were all saying.
And I watched a crowd move swiftly,
Every corner was awkwardly busy,
Amongst them, you I see,
A beauty that has never been more lovely.
You sit as I smiled at you,
For every smile I gave, you smiled back too,
If cupid had not been late for a minute or two,
In a heartbeat we'd fall in love without any clue.
So you see,
Anything won't ever matter to me,
As long as by my side you'll be,
Forever and the rest of all eternity.
So as I stare at your coffee, melting,
For hours you've kept me waiting,
And before I start to sip the last drop of mine,
I think I'd buy a larger one next time.
