Chapter 14

NANDINI's POV

I woke up after a peaceful sleep. I got the therapy for a peaceful sleep. And it's Manik's song. I smiled to myself and went to freshen up.

I went downstairs for breakfast and saw only Mom present. "Dad and Bhai?" I asked Mom and settled on the chair.

"Meeting" she said with a sad smile. "Mom, I seriously think they should get a break. Especially Bhai. Kitna kaam karte hai ye dhono? I am getting angry now" I said munching my breakfast with a pissed look.

"I know. But they both are stubborn heads. Humara baath hi nahi sunte na" Mom sighed. "I'll plan something soon" I said and smirked while Mom smiled.

"Navya meri phones or calls ka reply kyu nahi kar rahi hai?" Mom asked.

"You know na. Whenever she goes abroad, she gets soo busy. She will call you back. Don't worry" I said but Mom dint looked pleased.

After finishing our breakfast and informing Mom that I am going out with my friends, I left to the radio office.

Like everyday, I finished my show and was about to leave when Kriti stopped me. "Nanduuu where are you going?" Kriti asked. "I have some plans. So going out" I shrugged.

"Yaa yaa make plans with everyone. Aur humara kya?" Kiran came from back and smacked my head and I glared at him. "Yaa Nandu, we three should also have a day out" Kriti said sternly.

"Okay okay. Tell me when and where. I'll join you guys" I winked and they smiled widely. "We will message you" Kiran said and I nodded. I hugged them and left.

I was on the way to the restaurant which Mukti messaged me. Just then my phone buzzed with Aliya's call. "Yes Aliya" I said.

"Nandu can you do a small favor?" she asked. "Kya hua? Tell me" I said.

"Actually we all reached the restaurant. Manik is in the office. We called him many times and he is not picking up the call. His office is in your way only na. So just check on him and drag him" she said.

"Okay sure. But what will you guys do till that time?" I asked. "Dhruv wants to check on some guitars. There is a shop near by so we three are going there. You guys come fast na" she said and we ended the call.

Don't know how this monster is going to come with me?

I reached Malhotra Industries and parked the car. I reached the reception.

"Excuse me? Can I meet Mr.Manik Malhotra?" I asked the lady in the reception. "Do you have a appointment ma'am?" she asked.

"No but I am his..." I stopped in the middle not knowing what to say. We are still not friends. We are trying to be friends. The lady raised her eyebrows and I sighed.

"Actually Aliya Saxena has sent me here. You can check on with her" I said and she nodded.

Before calling she got a call and she answered it. After ending the call she looked towards me.

"Manik sir's manager has asked me to send you. Aliya ma'am has informed him" she smiled at me and guided me the way to the meeting room.

I was going inside the room when his P.A. stopped me. "Sorry ma'am, but sir is in an important meeting. It will take few minutes to end. You can wait in the cafeteria. Please?" he asked and I smiled and went to the cafeteria.

His office is very huge and the interiors are mind blowing. The office has eight floors and is very vast. The cafeteria is also very well maintained.

I ordered a hot chocolate and sat on the corner table from which I could see the entire city through the glass. I got my hot chocolate and was sipping it while scrolling through my phone.
