I woke up gasping for air, my body was cold but surprisingly not wet.I looked around me and i was in my bed was it a night mare but it felt too real.I placed my feet on the floor it was so cold i brought my legs back unto the bed

I couldn't comprehend what had happened and how i got to my bed, I don't remember coming in here at all last night. Just then mum walked into my room with a hot towel and placed on my forehead

'Sal how do you feel' mum asked gently dabbing the towel on my forehead 'you were out cold when i came to check on you and your body was hot'

'Am totally fine mum 'I replied with a reassuring smile on my face 'But what is actually wrong with me and how long have I been out for' I asked

'Well Sal you had a fever,a and you were out since 06:00 PM yesterday'she replied 'But on the bright side you can stay home today as you had always wished for'she added

'uh mum you should have know this was coming one way or the other' i said jokingly' No one has ever had an hundred percent attendance in school' I added

'That reminds me I have to make a call to the principal to inform him of your absence today' mum said getting up to leave

'On your way back could you please help me with breakfast am starving here' I told mum as she was leaving.

15 minutes later she came back with a tray of pancakes, hot coco and a jar of syrup , i had taken the chance to bath and have a change of clothes before she returned. I sat by my reading table and had breakfast couldn't help but notice mum staring at me with tears in her eyes

'what wrong mum' I asked abandoning my breakfast

'It's nothing serious Sal but you know tomorrow's your birthday and i made a promise to let you go out of town tomorrow' mum said

I had totally forgotten about my birthday, well i think that;s because I actually doubted the date was correct.I could still remember on my sixth birthday I went around telling people it isn't my birthday and anyone who had still wished me a happy birthday, I would yell at em'ITS NOT MY BIRTHDAY' i never knew why I did that but I did. I finally got used to the day and stopped arguing when someone wished me a happy birthday on that day

'Really' I asked with confusion on my face 'but who had you promised such a thing' i asked further. Mum wasn't good at hiding stuff but when she really wanted to she would

'I had also promised not to tell you about her' she replied

sadly I knew who she was talking about 'It was my real mum, wasn't it' i said 'but why would she want to hide herself from me, what could i have possibly done that she wants to stay away from me so badly' I added

'I wish I could tell you hon, I really do but I can't'. I could see regret in her eyes as she blinked back tears 'Well then lets talk about tomorrow where would you wish to go'mum added changing the topic.

'Yeah about that I h'v thought of a place'I replied

'But your still under curfew don't forget' she added

'but mum'

no buts that''s final be back by 06:00 pm sharp no delays. Also the principal had said to inform you that there would be no school tomorrow cause it's the football game between your school and King's high' she added.

The next day I left pretty early luckily where I wanted to be opened up hours earlier, I took a cab and got to the CITY MUSEUM ( that's how it was written). I went n and went straight for the Egypt section it had a lot of interesting stuffs and the longest era that has ever being experienced in history( that is to me though) I learnt how the gods had played big role in the downfall of Egypt which just Kindled my hatred for them'

i don't know why but maybe it was that didn't believe in the gods and stuff but whenever i hear about them i always get angry at them and I have always had this hatred for all of them mum always advised me to forget about it but how can i forget what am not even aware of.

(Sal again, just wanted to advice you, don't just fall head over heels for a guy check his legs to be sure his not a goatee a Literally speaking from experience here so take it)
