CHAPTER FIVE

BRYLE'S POV

"Stop moving, woman," I couldn't help but say again for the fifth time.

But then, of course, she's a stubborn woman so she tried to stand and leave the bed again. Therefore, I had no choice but held her arm and pulled her back to the bed. She then glared at me. "I said I can handle myself now."

I shook my head in disagreement. "Nope. Paano kung bumagsak ka na naman? Do you want to get the people's attention again?"

She grumpily went back to lying on the bed and snuggled the bolster. Her movement made me somehow smile. Can't deny that she looked cute. I shook my head before standing up from sitting on the side of the bed.

"Do you want anything to eat?" She did not answer so I tried a different approach. "Lola asked the question since magluluto na raw siya ng tanghalian." I heard her mumble something but it wasn't clear. "What?"

"Ang sabi ko, kahit ano. Hindi naman ako mapili at nakakahiya sa lola't lolo mo," she said without looking at me but I could somehow see her eyebrows creased.

I once again shook my head. "Okay, fine. Puntahan ko lang sina lola saglit tapos babalikan kita." I turned my back and was about to leave when

"Whatever," she whispered but I heard it clearly, and then again, I smiled.

I completely went out of the guestroom and walked to the kitchen. I could remember Randle's face as I carry her to my grandparents' house an hour ago. She was biting her lower lip to stop herself from screaming in pain. My heart was beating fast and loudly, I think I was panicking. I did not know what else to do so I brought her to the nearest guestroom, the one beside mine.

"Oh, iho. Kumusta na ga si Randle?" my grandma asked when I entered the kitchen.

I smiled to ease her worry. "She's feeling better now, La." I walked near her after grabbing a bowl from the kitchen cabinet. "Can I give her soup first?"

It was my turn to nod and follow her instructions.

It only took a few minutes before the soup was already ready. "I'll give this to her muna, lola."

She nodded again as she focused her attention on the food that she was cooking. "Sige. Paki sabi sa kaniyang malapit-lapit na itong matapos."

I only nodded my head, thanked her, and excused myself. Upon reaching the guest room and opening the door, I saw the sleeping woman. She looked peaceful, somehow like how she looks like when she came back yesterday and watched the sunset with me.

I did not want to disturb her so I just carefully placed the tray on the coffee table in front of the bed. I didn't know why but instead of leaving the room, I sat on the couch across the bed and watched her sleep.

I know it's creepy. It really is creepy. But I don't know. I feel like I want to watch over her. Especially after seeing those emotions on her face a while ago.

I shook my head and just watch her sleep. Baka mamaya ay magising siya at may kailanganin, I don't think she'll be able to walk properly for a while.

I quickly stood up and walked towards her side of the bed. "Hey, you okay? Need anything?"

I saw her blink thrice as she looked at me. Her eyes then became bored. "I need to get out of here."

I let out a heavy sigh before shaking my head. "Siguro mga mamaya, pero hindi pa ngayon."

Naglakad na ako palapit sa coffee table para kuhanin ang tray at akmang lalabas para sana painitin muna ang soup bago ipakain sa kaniya nang magsalita siya. "Ano 'yan?" I faced her and her eyes automatically fell down to the bowl. "Pagkain?"

I nodded my head. "Mushroom soup. I was supposed to give this to you when I left the room earlier, but when I came back, you were sleeping soundly.

She scoffed and made herself sit on the bed. "Ba't di mo 'ko ginising?"

"Again, you were sleeping soundly." I saw her roll her eyes and said nothing else so I took a step back and was about to face the door when I heard her say wait. "What?"

"Eh saan ka pupunta? Akala ko ba para sa akin 'yan?" She sounded so bossy which made me raise an eyebrow as I stared back at her. "What?" she asked as if she was mocking me.

I shook my head. This woman really is something. "Iinitin ko lang."

Bigla naman siyang umiling saka inangat ang dalawang kamay na para bang may inaabot. "Akin na 'yan. Mainit o hindi, masarap pa rin naman 'yang soup, saka sayang sa kuryente."

Nagdalawang isip naman ako kung susundin ko ba siya o hindi, hanggang sa napabuntong hininga na lang ako at nagsimulang maglakad palapit sa kaniya. Upon reaching her side, I carefully put the tray on the bedside table and gave her the bowl and spoon.

"Gracias," she mumbled before she began to eat the soup heartily. I think she heard me chuckle so she glared at me. "Why you laughing?"

I shook my head. "Want some more?"

Siya naman ang umiling. "I'm fine with this. Thanks." "Thank again for the food." I nodded my head then placed the bowl on the tray. "This isn't your room, is it?"

"Nah, the next one's mine. This is just a guestroom." Dahan-dahan naman siyang napatango. "How'd you know though?"

Randle shrugged. "Just a guess. Wala akong makitang kahit isang Dan Brown na libro eh."

I remained sitting on the edge of the bed as I blink. "What?"

She nonchalantly looked at me. "Dan Brown books. You love them," she stated in a matter-of-fact tone.

I do not know if I should be impressed or weirded out by what she said. "How did you know?"

I do have an idea but I acted as if I really don't know the answer, she then sighed. "How many times do I have to tell you that I'm your stalker?"

I flatly looked at her. "Probably until I understood your creepy ways."

"It's not creepy. I'm not the type of stalker who follows you twenty-four-seven or gives you some cringy stuff," pagpapaliwanag niya.

I shook my head in disagreement. "It's still stalking."

Her eyes began to shoot daggers. "Ang sakit mo sa ulo kausap. Ba't ba ginusto pa kita?"

I raised an eyebrow. "I did not ask you to like me, Miss." Hindi ko na mapigilang mairita. It's like it was my fault.

She rolled her eyes. "What the f*ck ever. Stop fucking talking to me," she grumbled as she laid herself on the bed and planned to cover her body with the comforter when I talked.

"Language, woman—"

Anong gusto mo? Filipino? Edi T*ngin*ng 'yan. Ang gulo mo kausap. Puny*mas na 'to—"

I... I just kissed her mouth shut!
